1. Male
2. Soldier
3. Paragon
4. Nathan [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathan_Fillion]

The best part is that I've had the game three days, but I like this one so this is the one I'll carry on.

4. Adrian Shepard (kudos if you get the reference).
Adrian, huh no idea. Shepard's a good name to go with anything though. Is infiltrator the best class for them? The best class, I mean. Soldier would have been my guess. From what you're saying though, it seems to fit. Half fit, anyway. Life's often about half fits though. Opposing your entry of a data point ain't like me anyhow. Force your way into these things, and you end up sorry.

(Don't you hate it when you only think of what you SHOULD have said after the post? Thanks for the data point!)
Cleverly done, Mis-s-s-ster Blindchance... cleverly done.

(Actually, my first playthrough I was a soldier named Adrian, so you were half-right).

My playthrough was on a different profile that I no longer use, and I only borrowed the game off a friend. At some point I'll pick the first on up for cheap, and maybe then I'll buy ME2.

This is how my character was and how my 'new' character will probably pan out.
1. Male
2. Engineer(I think)
3. Paragon
4. David(Yes that's my name. Well can't I pretend I'm an amazing spaceman-type bloke?)

Normally with games like this I try to make it look like me but more bad-ass. However I decided to go for something vaguely based on me, mixed with a realistic interpretation of a spaceman-type bloke and just a pinch of badass. I may however go crazy with my next character either making him look purposefully stupid, or evil(regardless of me aiming for a good character).

Well you could say that not releasing is altruistic considering that it would help fight the geth therefore help the life of millions

But its would have been an altruistic choice on the part of the husband, however having Sheppard convice him make it feel a lot less altruistic overall.
What's really cool is?

You get the same number of Paragon points for either choice, as long as you handle it nicely. It doesn't make a decision that either choice is better.

(I convinced her husband that the testing was a better choice: She's dead, so make her sacrifice mean as much as possible, and save as many lives as it can.)

OK. Since we've slowed down, I'll call for an end for data, and instead report what I have.

We had, here at the Escapist, 102 data points. Here's the key data:

Men outnumbered women over 3:1. 77% of our Shepards were male.

The most popular class was Soldier, at 37%. Infiltrator was number 2, with 24%. Sentinel was the least popular, with only two people choosing this class.

Using a formula of 2 points for the "pure" classes (soldier, engineer, adept) and one for each discipline in the hybrids, we also learned that combat was the most popular discipline at 60%, followed by biotics (22%), then engineering (18%). You can see my whole sheet here [http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l300/jack_slack/escapist.png].

OK, but how does this compare to the wider community, you ask? I also asked the question at PALGN (getting a nice number of responses) and GameCritics (getting, erm, 5 responses) as well. The key differences were:

You guys are a LOT more male than the rest. Elsewhere the male to female ratio was about 2:1.
Vanguard had more popularity amongst others. Vanguard made up 32% of PALGN's Shepards, compared to your 22%. You liked Infiltrator more, which is where you made up the percentages. They only liked Infiltrator to the tune of 14%.
While combat remained the top choice at about 60%, elsewhere Biotics was the clear second favorite at 27%, while Engineering managed only 14%.

The overall numbers from all my info gathering is here [http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l300/jack_slack/overall.png].

I'm importing both of mine, the good and the bad, but I'd consider a file with a mix of both decisions canonical. Mostly good ones.
