I tried Chrono Trigger recently.

After the 23rd form of the final boss absorbing a barely finite amount of damage, I lost patience, quit, and haven't played it since. Nothing is worth that much monotony.

Well most recently, I was playing ArmA 2 multiplayer, and I was in this one game, and I was just, to put it bluntly, beasting it out. I went through three objectives, had 30-something kills (including a BMP) and was #1 in the game, leading the way in each attack, all without dying even once. I have never done so amazingly well before or since.

So after the third objective, I'm in the helicopter en route to the next one, when it suddenly drops out of the sky. Not even did the pilot accidentally hit a tall tree, the helicopter just fell out of the sky. And through my rage at having died in such a horrible manner, I see that the game claims that I had killed everyone in the helicopter (a punishment usually reserved for the pilot)!

My theory on what happened is that the pilot either jumped out or disconnected (explaining the crash), and since I was crew chief it made me second in command, and blamed the deaths on me. That or it was just a horrible glitch.

Obviously I was quite pissed off after having had my streak ended in such an unnecessary way and losing a lot of points for team kills I didn't commit, and I left.

How can anyone not ragequit anywhere past level 9 of Ninja Gaiden 2?

My sword does not deflect bullets as well as my torso attracts them!

TF2.

I was playing in a modded/glitched-out game (I'm not sure which). Anyway, the grenades and stickybombs of the Demoman flew through EVERYTHING and just disappeared into space, so I found him pretty useless. Eventually, a team of 6 Demomen made it to my team's spawn and just kept firing their grenades... through the wall of our spawn. After dying about thirty times (some being purposefull suicides), ragequit ensued.
Okay, the modded servers are an idiotic idea:
"Lets take a game that a real gaming company spent 11 years refining to be as fun and balanced as possible, and then totally screw it up by giving 1 class an endlessly spamming weapon that will make the entire enemy team disintegrate."

I don't really rage quit, but I do get frustrated and just give up for a really long time. Psychonauts has yet to be beaten because of the meat circus level.

God Hand - After loosing to the
Three Evil Stooges
on Easy for the 5th time, I quit.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - I quit after my flying units kept on getting killed by Ballistas.

Those are the most recent ones.

Only game that I have EVER ragequit on is COD4.

There I was 10 seconds away from not dying ALL MATCH, having stacked up a 23 kill streak, when a noob with an AK shot me in the back.

I nearly gave up on COD entirely.

a loooooooooooooong time ago, i played the second kingdom hearts. but the way the sun entered the room, no matter what i put the brightness on or or where i moved the tv, i just chould not do the underworld level for herculese. it was just impossible 2 see, all i saw was my reflection.

also the final boss for killzone 2. if you look under the trophy list their is a trophy for beating him in under 20 minuests. it is considerd rewardable, for beating him in a little under a half hour. plus the fight was as hard as hell.
i was fine up untill the dudes with rocket launchers showed up. a few weeks later i was able to beat him by accidently going into the wall, kill all the infantry, and get a checkpoint so i chould kill myself and spawn at the final 2 on one battle. plus its a well....
can somebody tell me how to do that spoiler hide thing?
Press quote and then read in the "post-box" to see how I did that.

On topic: The closest thing to actual rage-quit that I've done was when I simply turned of the console when I died at the end of the first level in "Splinter Cell: Double Agent" on PS2. Unplayable piece of garbage, that's why!
I feel your pain, that game sucked. Although I played on 360, but it was still shit.
I know right? I hated that game >.<

Ninja Gaiden 2 on the xbox360 before I learned how to fly to put it in a way.
I then promptly turned the console back on and continued playing.

This. Oh God yes.
SFIV also made me rage quit in shame as I had to turn the game setting down to easiest to kill Seth for the first time I have now managed to work my way up to setting between medium and hard without using Zangeif overpowered move vs cpu.

Also sorry for double post.

The last boss in Resident Evil 5. QTE hell.
I was playing it on co-op, but decided to quit because the one thing the friendly AI seems to be good at is hitting buttons very fast.
That games sucked anyway.
I did that earlier, at the start the huge dude with the axe appeared literally out of nowhere and kill the sassy, dopey black chick that was standing with me. With not so much as a warning as even a little glimpse of "Oh look, a giant man with a Warhammer space marine axe" before totaling the *****'s head. Yeah no. It's been off for the last few hours till I can be bothered to wait 6 bloody weeks for Kirk to turn up and blow the gate open.

/rant. Sorry about that....

I usually ragequit in TF2 the most often, other games don't get to me in quite the same way.

Thing is, if I'm getting dominated, I will never, NEVER ragequit until I've got revenge. Then once I have I fuck off sharpish before they dominate me again.

I think most of my TF2 ragequits are a result of capping as a scout, only to have some goddamn motherfucking Pyro airblast me off the point, or toasting me ¬_¬ I hate the Pyro with a passion... Unless I'm playing as him/her/it of course

Any game that requires a team to actually work together usually results in me raging,

TF2s one example but one particular one which gets my blood boiling is S4 League, cause although it is a little more different to most shooters, there are some people (by some a fair chunk of the games population) that must have handicaps or something and generally when your stuck with a team of them vs a proper team its really all you can do

saves alot of time

Titan Quest: Immortal Throne: The Cerberus boss. With a rogue.
...
Can't ANYONE share my pain?

I rage-quit about six times, and had to FIGHT THE WHOLE LEVEL AGAIN EACH TIME, and each time I must have died 20 TIMES, and then each time you die, you have to walk across one of the laggiest levels for about five minutes just to get to the boss AGAIN. And die in five seconds AGAIN.

I'm gonna go throw up now.

The only game I ever rage quit was Super Mario World 2. Although even that I went back and beat several years later.

I don't rage-quit so much as bored-quit. If I die over and over and over again in the same spot and there is nothing I really want to see and do on the other side of that spot, I'm done.
