Everytime I feel like quitting, I remember the words of a great man.

"Don't believe in yourself, believe in the me that believes in you. Yours is the drill that will pierce the heavens!"

And I just keep playing.

I was replaying Jak 2 for the 3rd time but I couldn't get past this level with a turret and flying guards. I swore so much and so loud that I hurt my throat. When I was doing that the front door of my house was open and all the kids playing outside heard me. The thing that pissed me off though was that after a few days my dad told me that one of the neighbors told him to "Calm your little kid down". If that guy is on here now then I would just like to say that I didn't say anything your kids havn't used out of context already.

When I worked at Sonics, after the second day I had to make grilled cheese for a vegetarian kid. I made it and the manager threw it away, showing me how to make a proper grilled cheese....laying the cheese on the griddle and swiping it up with two pieces of toast. The problem is that the griddle was riddled with burger grease and bits. I quit that day.

I very rarely ragequit, as per quitting because of anger at failing, sometimes however, I will quit because I'm doing so extremly badly that there's no fun continuing, at which point I'll quit.

everytime i played against a cheap Blanka or Cammy user on SF4 (i'm a Vega user)

... i didn't quit ... but in a fit of rage i went on practice mode and spent the next week mastering blanka and cammy ... so basically now i know them both inside and out, all their strengths and weaknesses, meaning i know how to stop their cheap ass tactics ... so now i hop on to vega and pwned the shit out of every cheap blanka or cammy i encountered

Not ragequit as such, but shouting at the screen and needing a break to calm down.

I was on Left 4 Dead going for the no being healed and no friendly fire achievements. I was in single player mode, so they were all AI (yeah, I know this was a big mistake now). So I'm going through each level of No Mercy slowly and carefully, and I get to the Finale on 80 Health left, no friendly fire. First Tank comes, I molotov and run, got boomed so I couldn't see, Tank slaps me before dying. Despite still having 40 Health left, Louis decides he wants to heal me, I get annoyed but figure I'll still get friendly fire so it wasn't a waste. Hellicopter turns up, I'm running up the ramp, gunning a couple of Zombies in my way, when Louis steps infront of me and I hear "Hey, watch it!"

I swore alot, mainly at Louis for being useless, and had to turn the xbox off, because I had lost all desire to carry on that night.

Metal Gear Online:
I have good and bad days with this one, one day I'm running around, blowing heads off and hardly being touched, if at all. The next it's like there's a huge arrow above my head that everyone can see that says 'Point here and squeeze the trigger!'. So I've been known to actually walk into a game on a good day and just quit as soon as I get hit. Of course, this is after having been in a previous game where I was frustrated about the amount of times I got hit in that game, but still, I should just quit the game, not the round.

Ever played Dota on Warcraft 3? It's my current crack of games. Thing is. When you start a game, it's a set player match. No one will come and join the game. The frequent problem is ragequit is frequent.

The causes are:
-Bad teammates.
-Gankers are always on you.
-Someone is "feeding". (Giving kills so that the other team receives experience and gold).
-You're losing hard.

It's pretty tiresome.

In Assassin's Creed when fighting "Robert de Sable". I was getting so pissed my boyfriend finally took the controller from me and turned off the console.

I try my hardest not to rage quit, especially in multi-player but I look at it this way I can either just turn my console off or I can throw my controller through my tv. I'd much rather keep my tv then save face.

Don't really know if this counts, but in RTSes, when I'm completely boned (i.e. two structures with no units to defend while an enemy armada closes in from all sides) I usually just say GG and quit from there.

I never Ragequit. I suffered through Mile High Club on Veteran and I won goddangit.
I can say the same for that one. Though I will point out recently Ghostbusters made me ragequit and stop playing it. Any one that has played the game already knows where before I say it. Graveyard scene with Ray. Worst designed encounter ever? Possibly.

I rage quit STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl twice.

First time, moving between areas through a checkpoint it dumps me in the next area surrounded by enemies that then rapidly kill me, then when I finally got through that and it did it again, I just quit.

Then a while later I felt like I should give it a second chance, I end up fighting this bunch of soldiers. I swear to fucking god I emptied an entire clip into one of them point blank, and he survived and then killed me in one burst. Ragequit again.

I have no idea how people stand that game.

And Far Cry 2. I've tried twice to finish that game, and each time sooner or later I end up driving all the way across the map to get to a mission through interminable checkpoints and interminable cliff-raceresque men in jeeps, get to the mission, die, load the last save and then realize I didn't save just before the mission so I have to do the boring drive all over again. And then I quit.
