I've never ragequit any game, except online multiplayer. For obvious reasons: Ever been playing Sabotage and your team is sucking (except you, you've defused the bomb 3 times and they haven't done anything) and then they all leave, yes all five of them, leaving just me.

I never ragequit, so I stuck it out by hiding and hoping I would not die before the game ended.

But seriously, all five leaving? I mean I can see one or two leaving for a family emergency, or soccer game, or class starting or something, but all five? No, screw you.

I have come to the conclusion that ragequitting is for, in the words of some idiot, "retard nubs lol!!1"

Final Fantasy X-2. Got two hours in before my rage finally exploded. "THIS ISN'T FINAL FANTASY!!!!!" and quit.
While I wouldn't call my own experience a ragequit, it was this game in particular.

I was fighting the first battle after having had a look at the main villains and protagonists. I mentioned to my friend I wasn't in love with the battle system so far and asked when I would get a nice male character to solo the game with.

The only words I recall him saying that were important were "don't get a male character" and "job classes are dress spheres in this game, like fashion, and-" before I tossed the controller to the floor, turned it off and thanked him for preventing me from getting to the first save point.

I don't think I've rolled my eyes with quite so much boredom and disgust at a game, or even a vapidly annoying real woman I might encounter, in a long, long time. Some things are just made of fail. Or at least when applied to specific people.

So..I once saw someone ragequit in WH40k. He grabbed a handful of his models and just started stomping on them. I didn't want to laugh because he was my friend, but I did.

Mondern Warfare 2 has made me rage quit so many times on the multyplayer. Sometimes I just dont understand why the guns just dont hit some times. Like the M16 two burst to the chest should kill a man but noooo mr. P90 gets head and just keeps on running around. Expand this over two or three games and I could burst into super Sayen Im so angry.

but now I decided to sell it for Mass Effect 2

Mario Party 8. Spent 30 minuites trying to get a star in a first-to-2-wins game, then the CPU got a very flukey roll and picked up two more as they spawned on the next turn.

Not only did I ragequit, I sold the fucking game. That thing's more rigged than Mario Kart.

L4D the other day. I'd joined mid-game with 3 french people and they decided to kick me after about 5 minutes for being, and I quote an 'English dickhead'.

So I teamkilled 2 of them and quit before the votes were confirmed.

In Mirror's Edge, I had to make a jump from rainpipe to rainpipe. Easy, you would say, well yeah that's what I thought, it's just that the damned game did not register the second friggin' rainpipe. Each time I jumped (no matter how or from what position from the pipe, I tried that for about 40 mins, and that bit takes about 10 seconds, just guess how many tries that is) I just flew right through the targeted pipe.

I pulled the face you see in my avatar, closed the game and played L4D2 on easy with Don't Stop Me Now from Queen on. That always makes me Zen.

I pull the rage-face from my avatar quite often, actually, but that's the only ragequit I can recall. I don't give up easily, I can't stand it.

I remember 2 days after cod4 came out and i was playing on veteran, one shot one kill, but when i got to the ferris wheel waiting for the choppa, even with my army of claymores patrolling the perimeter, i could'nt for the life of me beat it! About 20 seconds after quitting i tried again and WHAT DO YA KNOW! the same thing happened again. So i threw my controller at my xbox and played GHIII :3

The game: DoW Soulstorm.
Match type: 2v2v2 annihilation between myself and a group of friends.

Okay, so me and my friend are playing as Chaos (myself) and Space Marines (my friend), we start building up a nice, sizeable force of infantry and tanks, capping every strategic point we come across, we had total relic control as well, so we were denying our friends their most powerful units. All was going well, we took out one team of Orks and Eldar with relative ease, stomping on any squishy units that got in our path.

All of a sudden, I notice that during our little rampage, one relic pops off the map, I think "Oh, no worries, it's just one relic, what can they do?"

At this point, we're heading back to our bases to reinforce and resupply, when out of nowhere a huge blob of red appears on the minimap, just underneath our wall of turrets, this is when I remember that the other two guys are playing as Tau and the Sisters of Battle, so whilst the Tau destroy my turret wall, what do I see other than LO AND BEHOLD! A Living Saint backed by the biggest swarm of friggin' infantry and the largest tank battalion I've ever bloody seen.

Then the Tau march in to accompany him, I think "Okay, we can do this, my marines are infil-" All my marines appear in full view, they have a detector, and with us being utterly unable to see it, we were at a disadvantage.

Whilst we dealt with the Sisters, our army and bases got hammered by long range fire from the Tau, at this point I open up the chat and simply type the following.

"I'll kill myself before I get myself beaten by wannabe Space Marines and squishy aliens." Then proceed to self destruct all my buildings, taking out a sizeable portion that were crowded around my Thermo-Plasma generator/Plasma generator batteries.

So I ragequit, but at least I took a chunk of their army with me.

I've never rage-quit. I've quit because I'd had an appointment and what I was doing took too long, I've quit because I had an appointment but forgot it, I've quit because I have to go do something else, etc., but I hate rage-quitting. Mostly because it's ruining most of my L4D2 game time. Really pisses me off, and as such I don't do it.

In Assassin's Creed when fighting "Robert de Sable". I was getting so pissed my boyfriend finally took the controller from me and turned off the console.

I try my hardest not to rage quit, especially in multi-player but I look at it this way I can either just turn my console off or I can throw my controller through my tv. I'd much rather keep my tv then save face.
I can absolutely relate to that first one. You have about twelve guards to take down and three unkillable archers who will constantly wear you down. I had to find just the right spot so they had a hard time hitting me and feared being thrown into the middle of the arena. It doesn't help that the person you're supposed to kill immediately gets up after being knocked down. I finally had to hidden blade the guy in the second he was vulnerable.
