I look around and see threads all the time discussing things, but not a whole lot of threads where people are getting to know each other. So I created this thread for people to get a chance to know each other. Tell us something about yourself. Hobbies, interests, career goals, stuff like that.

I'm 19 and a junior in college, working on my BA in sociology. I used to be a psychology major before I took a sociology class and liked it better, although my personally psych professor said that I was a natural psychologist. My sociology teacher had a Ph. D. in social psychology, which I might also get a Ph. D. in in a few more years. I've done a few years of Aikido, which is a martial art from Japan that was created shortly after WWII if I remember correctly.

I like videogames, pen and paper games, reading, strategy and tactics, working out, and of course, spending time with my gf. I also go to the shooting range with some friends of mine occasioanlly, which is pretty fun.

Ok, I'm 25 and at the minute am going nowhere.

I dropped out of a Business Studies degree a few years back because it was boring me, and decided to become a Golf Professional instead. A few months shy of signing my forms and starting my 3 year apprenticeship to turn Pro, I had a massive fight with my boss and quit (still quite good friends with him though). Since then, I have been trying to decide what the hell to do with my life that doesn't involve playing games, reading books or working in a supermarket. I would love to get into graphic/multimedia design or something along that path, but that requires schooling, which in turn requires money, which I lack.

Amazingly, I'm not bitter, or worried about any of this, even though I should be. I know that at some point I will get off my ass and go back to college, it's just a matter of getting my 'fun years' out of the way first

What are these 'fun years' of which you speak? I don't believe I've had mine yet. XD

I've been in school nonstop from the beginning of my senior year of highschool. Summers too. All in the hopes of achieving my Ph. D. around the age of 24-25.

I am into D&D and other various RPGs. I am currently trying to claw my way out of debt(and losing). I am incredibly cynical and misanthropic. I have lost 90% of my friends in the passed few months. How fun. 18 and going to college, currently getting the prerequisites out of the way. Hoping to get into the artistic side of game design or movies/shows. CGI or cut-scenes, that kind of thing. Looking around for a job, having no luck.

I'll play just about any video game, though I have trouble playing "casual" games for too long. Fan of metal, rock, and a few rappers. I write, but I've been losing some steam lately, opting to just brainstorm (read:daydream). And I probably spend to much time online.

I'm a 17 year old male living in Nevada. I have a speech impediment that's at times crippling and I plan on moving as soon as I'm out of high school. I get bored easily here, and have a very unstable mood, that's occasionally made me completely unable to get out of bed due to feeling so shitty. Yet I love cute things.

I'm an avid animu watcher, I love fantasy games, and I'm currently going through a spell where I'm eating through my allotted budget for food, literally, in no time at all. I plan on writing for most of my life, since that's what I'm most skilled at, but I also want to major in psychology. Well... that's it for now. If you want to know anything else, let me know.

I'm between 20-23 years old. Currently in a Franciscan University for some sort of degree in Law Enforcement. I have a strong desire to serve in the U.S. Army, either active duty at the end of schooling or as a reserve during school. When I'm not doing homework, I'm often out shooting with the few friends still around. I have an extremely tough time socializing with most people as I was brought up in a very strict, military like family. I lost my (so far) only chance at love with a girl that I care for deeply. Both of us were too nervous to actually come out and have any sort of relationship and eventually we both drifted apart. I still have her programed on my GPS though, just in case I ever grow a pair of balls.

As anyone who's had the pleasure/displeasure of interacting with me on the site knows, I can be a bit high strung and aggressive. I'm often highly offensive and can be a bit paranoid. I cope with difficult situations using Black Humor. Still a pretty nice guy though, if you can get around the rough edges.

I'm 19 years old. I completed a year of college before some things happened and I had a few, uh, episodes... I don't really feel uncomfortable discussing that right now, so I won't. Anyways, things are better and I may try and go back in the spring.

I pretended to hate anime until I was 18, at which point I stopped caring and allowed myself to actually enjoy it. I like most types of games, except for shooters, which for some reason have never really appealed to me. I really have only one passion though, and that's music. I play piano... to an unhealthy degree... but fingers can only blister over so many times, so whatever.

I have no goals, I spent the last year cutting all of my friends out of my life, and I have consistently bad luck. But it's okay; I'm pretty cheery about all of it. :3
