I don't remember. I think, when I was younger (about 15/16?) Connexions got me to take the shortened version. A few years later I took the longer version, and got the same result - INFP. (Incidentally, that's the same result your girlfriend got. Don't ask me why they use 'N' for intuitive - I guess so the results look better?) The shorter test is still quite reliable, but perhaps doesn't provide as detailed a result as the extended version. I forget how the results were presented; whether or not they displayed percentages.

I understand the opposites attracting thing, though. I can't imagine enjoying a relationship with someone who is effectively my clone. o_O Diversity makes life more interesting.. When things are the same all the time, they tend to stagnate. Mind you, I'm only speaking from my personal experience, flawed as it may be.
I think that they use the N because having two "I"s would be a little odd. Intuitive and Introverted both beginning with I and such. Well, if you have the same personality as my gf, we should get along fine. XD

Also, I took the long version and it broke things down into percentages, but I'm willing to bet that there are minor variances depending on where you take it and what program it's on.

Yeah, most likely. Also helps to avoid confusion when explaining your results to friends!

To be honest, though, I take most outside sources that attempt to judge who I am and what I'm like without actually interacting with me with a pinch of salt. They're fun, and they make me evaluate myself.. but nothing more than that, if I'm honest.

In saying that, I've inherited a strong interest in star signs. Not horoscopes, i.e. the kind you read in newspapers and magazines - but the books based around sun signs, and generalized biographies for each of the star signs. I've found mine to be startlingly accurate, although obviously I differ from the generalized 'prototype' they describe.

In case you're interested, I'm a Taurus.

Well, I turn 20 on Saturday. I'm a college student studying medicine, but lately I have been having doubts and might change to something else. At the moment, I'm taking the semester off to work. Unfortunately, it's a terrible, demeaning, soul-destroying job with some of the worst customers this side of the Sahara, but the pay is decent enough for me to keep working there. Right now, there are few things I enjoy, talking to certain people, driving, video games, reading. Other than that, there is nothing else. My job does not give me any free time. I haven't even had a weekend off in almost 2 months. I'm not sure in what direction I should go in my life, and I question my purpose here almost every day. But, there are so many people I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks about this. I've been living here in Costa Rica for over a year, and I gotta say...I love it here. But, I'm still moving back home to finish studying.

I don't know what else to say.
Well, happy early bday. I'd ask what your job is, but I'm kind of afraid to with a description like that. XD

I'm an Aquarius, and a lot of that really depends on what your rising sign is, which you might actually know what I'm talking about there if you've read into it, which it sounds like you have. I'm pretty close to the typical Aquarius, minus the fear of commitment and the complete sponteneity (sp?) bits.

I'm 15, although I'm so tempted to just say 16, as it's my birthday this weekend anyway. I'm currently in year 10 at high school, and it's actually exam period right now so I don't really know why I'm wasting my free periods on the Escapist.

I enjoy reading books about serial killers, protesting against Scientology, playing computer games, and making a fool of myself to amuse other people. I work at a radio station, which usually provokes a 'wow, really?' from other people, but it's really not that impressive. I live in Melbourne, Australia, and I really love this place despite the pretentious people who take themselves too seriously. Still can't decide whether or not I'm one of them.

Heh, thanks. And there's a reason for all the November babies. Nine months ago, it was Valentine's Day. I was somewhat traumatised when my friend pointed that out to me.

My birthday is the day before Valentines, so I suppose that thought never really occured to me. XD

I'm 21, got a couple of ICT diplomas at college around 3 years ago but haven't found a use for them yet in terms of employment. I have a part-time job which can suck hard (10 hour Sunday shifts are not fun), also I'm now getting back into writing game review/retrospective/history blogs, which is not only something to do, but they are also fun to write.

I'm going to try and improve my writing skills and e-mail some publications to see if I can go freelance for a while.

Ambitious, yes. Will it happen, probably not. But hey if you don't ask you don't get.

I'm 18 and in my 3rd year of 6th form. First year I choose Biology and Chemistry as mains and Psychology and Film studies as sideline courses. Failed the Bio and Chem but aced the Psych and Film. Rapid shift in career path later and I'm doing a 3rd year to make up for the two subjects I dropped for more useful stuff like English Language and Sociology (basicly psychcology, really).
What have I learned? Basing a career choice on watching too many fucking episodes of CSI and wanting to be a Coroner is stupid.

I play games on my PC although not that much these days, I start too many things and then don't finish them because I'm lazy or they stop being fun.
E.g. Hitman Blood Money, too lazy to finish mostly because of fucked save system ¬_¬ i mean jeez Far Cry was better.
Red Faction Guerilla, just stopped being fun and the story became such bullshit I couldn't ignore it anymore.

I'm really into electronic music, I live and breathe Crystal Castles and I'm a good dancer.
And I look like this.

I just got out of the Marines after 6 years, and am currently in school studying Biology. I'm a massive Games Workshop fan and have been playing for over 11 years.

28, got an annoying cold sore on my lip that brewed up a couple days ago and won't go away, and have - at the risk of opening myself up to extreme derision - seen Linkin Park in concert tonight thanks to someone else in my circle of friends having to drop out from a group that was only previously able to get hold of (N-1) tickets. It was actually pretty epic and I have a new level of respect for that Chester fellow, his larynx must be made of solid titanium.

And to reveal anything more than that already fairly personally identifiable collection of information would be dangerous I feel. I like my bank account and its contents where they are, ta.

I'm a 17 year old high school junior. I'm not doing to well in school at the moment. I don't have a learner's permit to drive yet, because I don't see the point in having a car that I'm not going to use. I'm single... :-( I appreciate all forms of art and I try to accept other people's views even when I don't agree with them. I have a talent for drawing cartoons and for art in general, so I'm hopping to do something with that talent one day. I also hope to get involved in game design and development, (I've got a lot of ideas.) I enjoy older books like Conan the Barbarian and H.G. Wells. I love the band, The Killers. I'm a big fan of Minecraft and indie games in general.
I wish people would be more accepting toward new ideas.

I'm a 19 year old Canadian in my second year of college. I play DnD and computer RPGs, as well as having a love for survival horror (the creepier the better, Amnesia is amazing). I have a wonderful girlfriend who I met at DnD, and who insists that I'm a sweetheart, so I guess I am (that's not a "she must be right" thing, that's an "at least her bias is positive" thing).

Having seen the conversation about Meyers-Briggs personality types, I'm an ISTJ, and for the alignment discussion I'm Neutral Good (if I was lawful or chaotic myself and Ms True Neutral probably wouldn't fit together so well).

19 years young. Work as a health and safety manager in my local primary school. I've been to college and got all my A-levels in Psychology, Biology and Film. Canadian family. I only possess my hands because my little brother practically saved me from an accident involving a barbed wire fence some years ago. And one by one my close friends are being taken away from me. eg. Prison for assault, yesterday one died from a peanut allergy, Ones gone to Uni miles and miles away etc....I'm running out! Anyone want to fill the slots at all? :)

I'm 18 turning 19 this month, currently in my first semester of community college. I'm looking for a job so I can have some kind of income. I enjoy playing RPG's, shooters, the occasional action/beat-em-up, and I like to write.

I used to want to live a more relaxed life, and was a bit of a slacker. But after I watched a long (and continuing) series of videos starring a manchild named Christian Weston Chandler:

I knew I had to get my act together.

Okay here it is.

Twenty year old, chronically angry misanthropist with shit academic prospects.

On the plus side my social life is ten times better than it used to be so I'm happier than I've ever been. =/

Lolz XD
