are we talking legitimate hard as in tough enemies with tough platforming with a weak player or Bullshit hard as in fucked sideways controls with enemies that can take a million shot to the face and not die but sometimes they do if theres a blue moon outside an they feel like it.
Legititmate hard:...all i got is Demons Souls and Castlevania 3 & 4, if your wondering about number 1 or 2, well number ones controls feel sticky and jumping is awkward its a little less in number three and as for number two i haven't played it so i know nothing
Bullshit hard: I havent played any of these but from what i've seen these ones i would classify under this, ghostbusters, silver surfer, megaman 64, and many other games the nerd has reviewed and LordKat has beaten.
Edit: oh yeah this one is labeled under Legitmate hard "Ikaruga" and im not sure how to classify this one but also "Ninja Gaiden" for the Nes

I'd say most NES games, but specifically Zelda 2. The hard platforming and the frustrating bosses easily make it the hardest game I've ever played. Battletoads was also pretty hard.
Pretty much this. F-zero GX is pretty sadistic for a racing game. Beating the story mode missions are hard enough, but then going around and beating them on hard and very hard just to unlock something good out of them.C117 said:
Especially when they stick you on a course, with super sharp turns, hard to see mines which hurt you, lava which hurts you, the guard rails hurt you, plus you have to beat the guy in a race while surviving..but ohh, to catch up you have to boost, but in F-Zero, boosting takes away your health, which makes it even harder....still fun as hell though, and I somehow managed to beat mostly everything in it.

God of War/Devil May Cry/Bayonetta can be damn hard on certain difficulty levels, specially DMC/Bayo.
