Really most of them are just plain awful and unfunny, and though they can be funny you have to put a joke there, putting any meme by itself it's funny, well maybe some are the first time, but every time after that they are just annoying, specially when people just show you a damned picture of the same stupid meme they've showed you like 50 times and expect you to laugh, and then when you just roll you're eyes at it and look away they just tell you that you're a grump and you don't get it.

And you can take this extremely lame attempt at a joke as evidence, but anyway is this how this meme works or did I miss the point?
Because I really don't follow memes and I have a feeling that I used it wrong, do you guys already have a meme for I hate everything or something like that?

Memes are generally funny like once and then get astronomically annoying. Then Reddit/9gag get hold of them. So basically, all of them.

For the sake of this thread though, the ones I hate most are the stupid faces (angry face, troll face, foreveralone, etc). Got so much worse when everyone started posting them in those stupid Facebook comics.

OT: I'm generally quite tolerant of memes, no matter how cheesy, as long as they're employed well.

That would actually be the vast majority. Probably around 80% of those used today in one way or another came from 4chan.
