You know what I'm talking about. Whats that one game you always go back to, the one you never get bored with. Even if you do get bored with it you're right back to it in a couple of months.

Next one, what that one book that you could re-read a thousands times and still pull out meaning from. That one book that gives you comfort or thought?

Finally, that one movie that just gives you a laugh everytime even though you know the lines word for word.

For those extra mile people, whats your favorite t.v show? One that you can turn on no matter how many times you've seen that episode.

So escapist whats your top three?

Mine is-
Game-The Guild(If you haven't tried it do, its a little hard to get used to, and the graphics are dated but once you do you can hours of fun. Its like $5 something on Gog)

Book-fahrenheit 451(I read it for a english class and since then have gone back and read it 5 times, it just a favorite of mine.)

Film-The gamers dorkness rising(Couldn't think of anything to watch saw it on netflix craped my pants in laughter, and replayed it almost an hour after just watching it)

T.v Show- South park I guess( This wasn't in the orignal question but I'm adding it for fun!)

EDIT-some stuff

Game-It used to be PWI, but then I tried WoW. But the game I can always rely on is Rune Factory 2 or Age of Empires III...or any Fire Emblem.
Book-The Night Angel trilogy.
Film-I don't like rewatching films.

Game: Super Smash Bros. Simply because of its awesome multiplayer, though in terms of a single repeatable experience, I'd have to say Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Movie: The original Star Wars trilogy. Those three masterpieces never cease to amaze me.

Book: The Giver. Not my absolute favorite book, but definitely up there, and I could read it hundreds of times.

Game: Battlefield series. Cheating a little in this category, but I've played the PC games so much and reinstalled so often, it's a wonder my discs still read.

Book: The Stars My Destination. Awesome cyberpunk-style book written by sci-fi author Alfred Bester. Pretty cool book if you can snatch a copy. I've probably re-read it at least a hundred times.

Movie: Master and COmmander: The Far side of the World. I wish I could have seen it in theaters; interesting story, good music, spot-on atmosphere of the times and life. Got me intersted in the Master and Commander series of books too, so kudos for that.

Game: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, I just re-play it and re-play it, is very entertaining.

Book: The Place of Dead Roads by William Seward Burroughs, I find something new and wonderful about it every time I re-read it, I try to do it once a year tie in with The Cornellius Quartet by Michael Moorcock, I just can't get tired of how post-modern and ahead of its time it is, how clever is its subtexts and how awe-inspiring is the prose

Movie: Gates of Heaven by Errol Morris, paraphrasing Ebert: "this film has given me more to think than all the other movies I have seen in 20+ years"

Game: Gotta be Red Dead Redemption. Every time I get tired of it, I chuck it to the back of my pile. but a week later I'll be scrounging for it, needing a fix of cowboy shooter action. ;P
Book: Don't really have one. I can never sit through a book twice, tho I've never been much of a reader.
Film: Anchorman. This is Will Ferrel's most awesome comedy by a mile and it will always make you laugh, wether you've seen it once, or a thousand times.
"You stay classy, San Diego, I'm Ron Burgandy?"

Game: Persona 3 Fes. So much to do in that game.

Book: The Dark Tower IV: The Wizard's Glass. Stephen King at his best, when he was young. It just captures the old west/terror spirit.

Movie: ...um... Probably Bruce Almighty. I've never really thought about it, but i guess if i was at gun point it would be my choice

Game: Oblivion
Book: Not really anything major, I've read the Hobbit a couple of times.
Movie: Pulp Fiction
TV Show: Scrubs, no matter how many times I've seen the episode I can always enjoy it. (I know it wasn't in the original post but I just wanted to throw that in there.)

The Star Wars films, all of them. Fantasia, Alice in Wonderland, or indeed any classic Disney film. Almost any Pixar film (is it really possible for one group to be so incredible?). Unfortunately, I have yet to encounter a game or book that I will enjoy regardless of repitition (though perplexingly I have encountered fanfiction of that variety). Perhaps I'm simply uncultured? Oh well.

Game: Freelancer. I just love that game.

Book: Haven't found a book like this yet.

Movies: Back to the Future movies and the original Starwars. The trilogies I will never tire of.

I didn't think anyone had read twisted! I've read that one about 2 or 3 times now, it was a close tie between the two.

You remind me so much of myself about 4 years ago...

OT:

Game: Metal Gear Solid 2 or Fatal Frame 2. Never gets old, no matter how many Russians I shoot with tranqs or ghosts that smack me down.

Book: Kushiel's Legacy series or The Hollows novels. I cannot trumpet the merits of these loudly enough, so I won't. READ THEM AND SEE FOR YOURSELF.

Film: Zoolander. I can quote it nearly line for line but I still laugh every single time.

TV Show: Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Trigun.
