Heh, I was about to become aghast at that myself (I make a point of never commenting on someone's punctuation and spelling, it's colossally rude), especially when you mentioned training to be a teacher.CrashBang said:Finishing uni, moving away from loads of friends and having to go out into the real world and get a job but also not being able to because I'm doing a teacher training course but also might not be able to do that because I can't get the required three fucking days of work experience. Exactly, it's not against the rules to voice your opinion, it's against the rule to do it in an offensive way.FalloutJack said:...NEVER.Accountfailed said:Moderator wrath incoming in 3...2...FalloutJack said:You wait for the video to finish?Accountfailed said:This is the thread where we ***** about things.
For me it's that infuriating IMP that dances after every escapist video advertising the publisher's club. YES escapist, we know there's a publisher's club, you don't need to advertise it after every. single. video.
Now it's your turn, ***** about something currently bothering the shit out of you.
Anyway, I hate the captchas, and people who plug the Pub Club when we make threads like this. Nobody wants to join that hasn't already.
I am sorry, but the mods actually know my feelings on the subject and have not punished me for speaking my mind on these issues. If I didn't take a punishment then, why would I now? I'm allowed to not like captchas, just like anyone else.

Witty response that would better be suited for a different thread.Nimcha said:I was playing AC:Brotherhood and suddenly was confronted with a sex scene between a man and a woman. This grossly offended me, I do not care for blatant heterosexuality shoved in my face like that! They should've made an option in the menu to turn off this kind of heterosexual pandering. I don't care what straight people do in their bedroom but I don't want to ever have to watch it.
I'm training to be an English teacher as well but don't worry, my grammar is the king of all grammar! Also nice avatar, my man, I've read that book like twelve times. Hey, you know it didn't have the polish it otherwise would have so why worry? lol

Not fun to say the least!
Best of luck out there, man.
Right now, at this very moment, I agree so fucking much.DevilWolf47 said:People. They exist. Annoying bastards.
I once really only had "Yip" to say to a post, so I Enter'd down and added something like "Oh, and so I won't get modded for low content, I'm offering everyone who reads this a free hug and cookie. Insta-text!"OptimisticPessimist said:The low content rule. Look, I understand that there's a reason for it, but it still seems like a bullshitty rule. Just because I decide to type "yup" isn't gonna turn this place into fucking 4chan. I'm sorry, Escapist, but that one is really annoying me.
Yeah, of course you will (See, sarcasm, I'm so British ^^)trollpwner said:Hang on there, fellow countryman, let me wade in to aid you with fish, chips and sarcasm!Zac Smith said:Everything, as a citizen of the British Isles, it is my sworn duty to ***** and moan about anything, no matter how petty or trivial. Perhaps, but I'm purposely avoiding the numerous threads on gayness in games.ultrachicken said:Witty response that would better be suited for a different thread.Nimcha said:I was playing AC:Brotherhood and suddenly was confronted with a sex scene between a man and a woman. I could say the exact same about your avatar! Been getting into Green Lantern for the past year now, and it's brilliant. One of the finest comics I've read, particularly what Geoff Johns has been doing.CrashBang said:I'm training to be an English teacher as well but don't worry, my grammar is the king of all grammar! Are you me? You're me, aren't you? I've also been getting into Green Lantern for the past year and oh-my-fucking-wow! The stories Geoff Johns has been writing since '04 are the biggest and most epic (in scale, content, art, pacing, beauty) DC have ever done. Blackest Night was fantastic and Blackest Night: Green Lantern was even better. Last night I ordered the trade of Brightest Day Vol. 1 and can't wait to get my hands on it!Boba Frag said:I could say the exact same about your avatar! The big damn space opera of it all, the cosmic stakes, ancient alien technology- it has it all.
Then there's the original Han Solo- Hal Jordan! You should check out The Big Picture about Green Lantern if you haven't already.
Someone with excellent taste in hero books like yourself is bound to make a kick ass English teacher!

I watched the big picture yesterday and loved it. I've watched his 'Continanity' episode like five times, I love his issues surrounding comic books and I'd loved to do my own Escapist show on them, it'd be so much fun.
I am a little worried that, when I'm a teacher, I'll just waffle on about how the work of Henry James pales in comparison to Alan Moore and Grant Morrison...
Ooh! Have you read 52? Definitely the best thing DC have ever written. I've read the whole thing several times, it is truly mind-blowing
