In Your Honor was an absolutely incredible two-disc album: the first CD was your average, rocking Foo Fighters, while the second featured some amazing acoustic songs. Pretty awesome mix, if you ask me.
Them Crooked Vultures debut album also blew me away, though not as much as their concert. In fact, maybe they underproduced the album on purpose to make them literally better live. Either way, the album still rocked.

Blackbird by Alter Bridge

David Bowie Outside. It's a rather dark and disturbing album if you can catch the story in the songs. But, when I got it I was sick with a really intense fever and it seemed to sooth my mind. It's still my fave album.
Nirvana's In Utero and Nevermind tie for each other's spot.
Nevermind is more accessible to music tastes, and I heard that first and that started my long road down to music snobbery. But In Utero is a much more mature album thematically and stylistaclly, and I also got it when I was older. So eh, I love them both equally.
Weezer's Pinkerton. Just great all around, and edgier than the blue ablum. Not to mention most of the songs' basic message applies to most everyone's lives.

My most recent Album loves though are Red of Tooth and Claw by Murder by Death and Hospice by The Antlers

hah might sound a bit gay but basically, the album that set the ball rolling for me to get into better music was Count Your Blessings by Bring Me The Horizon. First time I heard it, my mind was absolutely blown. Before I heard that, I was listening to pop and whatnot.

Both of them have absolutely mind-blowing songs. The lyrics are weird but are often metaphors for other much grander, complicated things to do with life in general. Plus the vocals just send shivers down my spine.

Mine would have to be Sailing the Seas of Cheese by Primus. Easily the greatest piece of music I have ever listen to. Oh, also Mr. Bungle's self-titled album because it is fucking insane.
