I've been looking for a copy for a little while, actually, but without success so far. I've found plenty of NTSC discs on eBay, but I can't find any PAL ones anywhere. How does We Love Katamari compare? That's still available new on Amazon, I think.

I have only played a couple minutes of that one, and I haven't even completed the first. It's the same gameplay, with a bit more polish, as with most game sequels.

I'd say get the first if you can, but get the second if that's all you can easily get your hands on. If the gameplay appeals to you after playing through the first few areas, go back and play the first one all the way through.

There's no huge dramatic plot that can be easily spoiled, but there's still a story involved, so I think going in order would probably be best.
