So, there I was killing my third dragon for the day. FUS RO DAH! Then, I walk up to it and collect its soul (as I pretend I'm the guy was the guy from Highlander who takes the other guy's quickening). It's all normal procedure. I collect the Dragon Bones and Scales and off I go. That is until I saw Farkas kneeling beside me. At that moment, it dawned on me - I don't need him or care about him, he is just there to hold my crap. Then, it dawned on me again, I don't care about any companion in the game - they are all just moving crates. I don't hold Skyrim at that high place that everyone (including me before this) puts it in because of the absence of this feature/this feeling that I see as an extremely important addition in any game.
I was playing Fallout: New Vegas before this. It was just me and Raul. Stylin', Flyin', and Profiln' across the wastes. As we walked, I didn't view Raul as a meat sac. I saw him as a companion who got hit by some bad luck and horrible occasions (the story of his time in Mexico really got me). The same goes with every other companion in the game (except Rex - don't give a crap about him). I felt that they were worth a damn; unlike the companions in Skyrim. The worst part about this is that I read that there are around 50 companions, which in my eyes means that there are 50 boxes to choose from. Okay, maybe some of them may have an interesting story like Raul or Boone or basically everyone in FO:NV, but that isn't enough.
What was a feature you didn't like from Skyrim? (what I said, a quest, the story, a weapon, etc)
