Any thread where a person says they don't like a specific game, and then goes on with a big-ass wall o' text explaining why they don't like said game and why no one else should either. We get it. You don't like the game. I'm very sorry for you, but there is no reason to create an entire thread just to ***** about the fact that other people are having more fun than you.
Yes. "I don't like this game." Good, you're a person with an opinion. "I don't like this game and no one else should either." You're a douche.

1: My Little Pony threads.
2: Skyrim threads.
3: The last x is now y threads.
4: Threads that are related to a news post made a couple minutes ago.
5: Double posted threads. I know this has more to do with the site itself, but it's still annoying.

Vs topics.

Always and forever will be threads about how the thing that Group A likes is totally superior to the thing the Group B likes. It also shows which subject has the more pathetic fans.

What makes it really bad is when we get a wave of Vs. Topics. It always ends up at _____ vs Superman/Goku/God/Devil/me/you/a rock/The Rock/etc.

Besides, everyone knows that Kirby is the right answer. Always =P

Considering the past few months?

Skyrim, MLP and "Why all the hate for.." threads. Just the sheer number of them, I quite honestly don't even bother to read the content anymore, considering most of them are just clone threads..

Going to dance to that broken record and jump on the My Little Pony and Skyrim bandwagons.

Misleading topic titles are also a pest, but not one that makes me sigh inwardly on occasion.

Oh yeah, and topics where people are obviously trying to use a meme in hopes of being funny.

Topic Title:
Hey Everyone, lets play a game!

First Post:
I used to play forum games like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

Not so much around here as the mods are pretty good about monitoring that, but other forums are not so lucky.

I am with you on that. Also threads that do not specify their topic in their title, and instead write something luring, and misleading, or something 'curious' like 'Wonder what's wrong with THIS person', or 'Is this right?', or some bollocks like that. F-ing hate these view-acquiring pricks. Oh, oh, and also, threads in which the OP is all sentimental about some bullshit girlfriend he lost recently, and nags about how he wants to kill himself or something, blah blah. Useless, just useless. I've been there myself, in situations in which I've needed a shoulder to cry on, but for chrissake, don't spam your depressing retoric on the net, let alone here...

Suggest me a _____ threads.

I swear, every week a new "Suggest me an anime" or "Suggest me a 360 game" thread comes out. There are few threads where I'll pull the "Use the damn search bar!" card but this is one of them. I like the snarky way of pulling that card though where I just post a shit ton of previous Escapist links...passive aggressive powers, activate!

I used to make jokes about being unable to perform a specific task after receiving an injury to one of my joints, but then I stopped.

And the internet was a better place for it.

As for threads that I hate, I'd have to say pretty much any thread that intentionally seeks to start a flame war by bringing up a topic that's highly controversial without specific context to limit the discussion to a narrower subtopic. For example, a thread that says "religion sux lol" deserves to die a slow and painful death, but one that asks a question about how followers of a faith can have a holy text that prohibits/limits violence but those same followers can kill in the name of their faith seemingly without remorse is worth some consideration.

That's probably not the best example, but I think you get my drift.

Any religious thread full of hypocritical, snarky and unintelligent individuals... so I guess just religious threads in general.

Reading over it, this post may come off as a bit ironic (in the colloquial sense).

Threads that try to claim a personal opinion as fact.

There've been plenty of those on Skyrim the past few weeks.

Circumcision discussion, maybe because it just came up again. It always is just a three day long discussion about who has the better penis with very nasty things said to each other in an attempt to get people to hate there penises. It quickly stops being a discussion of the ethics of doing it to children in favor of making people feel deformed. And it just sits there in the top threads way longer than it should be.

Which is it guys? It always pops up eventually, whether it's an "only one" thread or it's "insert name here has ruined gaming forever". What kind of thread just makes you facepalm before you even read the content?
That was a bit unnecessary reporting me, when you yourself didn't make a very "high content" thread and actually countered itself.
People need to stop jumping to conclusions like this and realize that just because you got in trouble, doesn't mean that someone tattled on you.

Mods surf around the forums. Quite a few. I do in fact believe that they are paid to do this.

OT: I don't like threads that try to pit two games verse each other, whether on accident or when they blatantly just ask.

Also, kind of off topic, I hate people who complain about "Am I the only one". It's a figure of speech. I think that some people have been mentally brainwashed to irrationally to freak out when they see that phrase.

haha your name is from splinter cell conviction

OT: pretty much all the skyrim threads because they seem either pointless or redundant

I tend not to click on threads that imply they're going to ask a overtly sexual question. Extreme examples like "how big is your...?" or "when you're on the toilet have you ever..." I know a lot of them are clever bait and switches but quite a few aren't.

Super biased polls also irritate me. Another thing is people's obnoxious insistence that all polls include a "i don't know/i don't care/i take no side" option in every single situation.
If that's the case then DON'T VOTE OR LEAVE A COMMENT. When I vote for a senator there is no 'i don't care' box you just don't vote.

Yes! Thank you! A million times this! I don't know what the hell's up with this. I've seen this thread at least five times since I've been coming here and, if you glance at my info, you'll see that I've only been here for about a year and a half. Does the state of a guy's dong really intrigue people that much?! Ugh....

I really hope I don't have to see that again, but that would be awfully optimistic.
