Some of the jokes in South Park have made me uneasy at times. I wasn't offended, but it just made me mad that people in the real world actually think like the people in the show, which is supposed to be a comedy. It makes me realize how ridiculous some people are.

Gore movies, I simply don't see the appeal.
This. Martyrs is a good example. Salo is also awful. I just don't get the point of Gorn (Gore Porn). I always feel like I need to reach through the screen and kill the serial baby rapist before he kills another victim. It's not that I'm engaged in the flick, it's that I'm horrified that something so repulsive could exist. I never buy the film, I only rent it. And then I tell everyone how shit it was.
But you still watch them... Apparently quite often...

What's the difference between a pile of dead babies and a Mustang?

I don't have a punchline for this joke...
I think it's "I don't have a Mustang in my garage! Ohohoho!"

More on topic, there was a newer episode of South Park that stopped me from watching the series altogether, though at this point it was already on thin ice with me.

I don't know what the episode's called, but it's the one when Randy drops the boys off at a water-park. Then the thing turns into a joke about poor Kyle having to get rid of his disgust of people pissing in pools. I have a very similar issue with human waste and this episode disgusted the everloving hell out of me.

And then there was having to put up with Cartman's completely out of hand flanderization into a white-supremacist bigot and that scene where Randy Marsh gets voluntarily pissed on. WHY YES, PISSING ON MONKEYS WILL PISS THEM OFF.

Dead Baby Jokes!
Bah, ninja'd. But yeah, I first started hearing dead baby jokes my freshman year of high school, and I never found any of them funny. At all. No matter how you looked at them.

But for a real answer...Will Ferrell. I'll give him the cowbell skit, but most of his stuff is so dumb I can't even stand it. Especially his work in films. I find it insulting that I'm even supposed to be amused by what he's doing.
OH man, a thousand times this. One of my favorite scenes in all of Family Guy is when Stewie *****-slaps him. I was quite alright with Ferrel in SNL, because that show was his brand of humor. It just doesn't work on the big screen. The only movie I've seen with him in it that I liked was Stranger than Fiction, but that's because he wasn't acting like himself. Hell, I bet you could have seen Jim Carey in that role and it would have been better.

That reminds me, my parents hate Jim about as much as I hate Will. The way I see it, there is one big difference between the two: Jim is fucking talented.

More OT: Very little disturbs me because I'll find something humorous in even the most shocking things. If it could be funny, it IS funny to me. That's what makes Will Ferrel even more of a failure, because he's not even funny to me.

I had the misfortune of seeing a Happy Tree Friends video when I was very young. I literally felt sick to my stomach.

Thanks, I think I will use it.

So, no, I really don't feel that it's possible for a joke to go "too far". It's a joke, not meant to be taken seriously. It's funny because we all know that the actual basis for the joke is so horrible, but that there is a gap between joke and reality.

Bo Burnham is my favorite comedian. That should tell you enough about my opinion on jokes that are "just horrible".

While I find slapstick funny, I can never tear myself away from the fact that in 'America's Funniest Home Videos' or 'Tosh.0' those people actually got hurt and had to go to the hospital because of that.

some people at my school like to do this thing where when someone puts up 2 hands for a double high five, they do a double crashing airplane move instead of high fives and yell "Twin Towers!"

pretty sick sense of humor some people have.

This, this is just depraved.

I like graphic violence except when it is intertwined with humor. I just cannot accept gore and humor together.

Nothing is sacred nothing is beyond ridicule and nothing is beyond contempt. Although your satisfaction is likewise never guaranteed.

Hey, don't be a dick. Windows Seven was my idea, and I don't like it when people cut it down

OP: Happy Tree Friends
