In MW2, in the level which you need to protect the data downloader thing inside the house. There is also hard. Enemies come from 3 different place and you need to kill enemies quickly. Ok that's an interesting struggle. But after that, the real maddening part starts and you need to run to the chopper through the tens of enemies. You can not run forward, there are enemies. You can not cover and shoot, there are enemies in your back. You can not turn back and shoot, there are enemies in your right. I tried 20-something times that level just to run to my death. Lol, it was a boring part. The end levels of the game was easier than that.
Don't forget the fuckin mortars. Was stuck on that part for a good 2 hours because I kept getting blown up by the mortars. It was the only level in MW2 on veteran that gave me any problems

MW2 Spec Ops, the mission in the favela where u have to take down 15 juggernauts with a grenade launcher, an rpg, stun and frag nades, and ur knife.

The only way i can do any damage to those bastards is when i start bleeding out and am able to use the beretta.

Sonic Labyrinth on the Game Gear. That game has:
No speed-up unless you do the Turbo Spin (which is bearable)
2:30 minutes to complete each level (which pisses me off a little)
if you get hurt once, you drop your keys, and if you don't pick them up under 5 seconds, they reset (which feels like it is built especially to make people rage out)
The game manual says that there are, at least, 4 normal worlds (where you don't need any 'special item' to go to)
However, when you're in World 3, there are one-way only platforms (instead of the back-and-forth kind) not a big deal, until you get to level 3-3. There, you'll notice that most teleports lead you to the starting territory, and that even though there are little 'islands' they are blocked off by one-way only platforms that only go toward the starting territory! :( Also, you've still got the timer to watch out for, but no matter what you do, you always run out of time, or you fall from these islands, or you take a one-way platform the wrong way, which kills you! And then you eventually run out of lives (maxed at 8) and continues (you can never see how many), and then, you start from the beginning!!!
(I swear, AVGN could do at least half a video just on that game)
P.S. I've had this game for about 12 years, and I still don't know how to beat 3-3

I wish I could still play pokemon blue version but I gave it to a kid a while ago and he thought I let him keep it then he gave it to some other kid and then he moved before he could get it back
I originally had Blue before my old Gemboy colour got nicked - since the it's been Yellow all the way ^_^

I feel for your loss though, nobody deserves to lose Pokémon =(

The level 'Wetwork' from the MW2 Special Ops mission bordered on becoming this, but 'Mile High Club' for the first MW had me fully believing it just was not possible... until I beat it... In fact, WaW on Vet also seemed impossible...

Strange, they're all Call of Duty's...
If I'm thinking of the correct level (Don't play CoD games so I'm unsure); my room mate spent about 5 hours trying to complete 'Mile High Club' on Veteran. He was in a plane and ate dirt pretty hard. So I assume we are talking about the same thing.

A guy comes out of the toilet at the very start and just before the stairs a hole is blasted in the side of the plane, right before the stairs
Correct level, no?
Yep, that's the one.

The 2nd encounter of Plesioth in Monster Hunter 2.

I have seriously tried killing him 40+ times. Tried switching up my entire equipment, reading guides on the net (like 6 gamefaq guides), watch youtube clips on people killing him and even taking a break to absorb all the info I had.

In the end, I returned and tried for another two weeks then gave up.

...
I haven't touched the game for several months now.
Plesioth is a badly rated son of a monster, especially if you are a longsword user because you can't defend by blocking against its attacks, it gets angry quickly and deals a tonne of damage. I've found myself using Bows quite often on Plesioth, as most of their attacks are easy to dodge when you are far away.
by second encounter, what do you mean? do you mean the green one for the elder? or do you mean the Hunter Rank 4 version?

Plesioth is a sillily positioned monster though. i mean, its gigantic, has a bigger attack range than its actual body length (seriously, that step and shove it's own body forward attack seems to always hit) and does loads of damage. and you've got to fight it early on!! its a toughie.

I know its hard to not just give up, even after all you're efforts seem to have not done anything. but you've got to work off your own Biorythm on that game. i totally suck at it after playing it for about 2 weeks, but if i leave it for a month then i seem to be a total master. You've also got to try find techniques to using every weapon type, because Plesioth is very hard to defeat with a longsword because trying to dodge its attacks don't work. Lances are very good because you can take little jabs whilst defending and charge whenever its knocked down.

oh, and i know its annoying to get out the water, but using a Sonic Bomb on it automatically places it in Rage Mode, even if it gets it out the water, thats not always worth it.
sorry, you probably don't even want to try it now, but i love offering Monster Hunter advice, because its such a good game, just hard to appreciate because of its difficulty curve being like the frikking tides!

Now to answer the question of the thread, I struggled for ages against many Monster Hunter monsters... i remember Kirin being a pain in the but for ages, but now i can own that thing with ease (its all about timing).

Ninja Gaiden, i remember that being difficult too... but i prefered watching people play it anyway, so meh.

Metal Gear Solid 2, European Extreme mode. Now me and my Brother still swear thats impossible. Not the game, (its impossible for me, i suck at the game) my brother got all the way to the choke scene after fighting all the Metal Gear Ray's... He tried to do it with his humble human fingers, couldn't do it... he's tried tens of times, and he's even done it on all the other modes... just this one he can't quite do. He survived for like, a minute once, but he says it will probably go on for even longer. We even borrowed one of those 'Turbo controllers' and that didnt' work. Though the game might make it so that they don't work... i don't know >.>... Ruddy choke scenes.

Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, i swear thats ruddy impossible. but i know it isn't, because i think both my friends on this forum have already completed it on Hardest difficulty. don't have a ruddy clue how, i swear every single one of the enemy units is stronger and better equipped than one of your individual characters!

Trying to think of others, but then realised this post is already massive XD
