The last part made me chuckle a bit (The child molester part). But this shit needs to stop, I don't get how they make any money.

In fact, let's make this trailer a stupid test. The more times you laugh, the stupider you are.
I didn't laugh at all, so try to match the score!
Seems like we have a draw here...

There's few movies I will ever pay to see. But yeah, the scary movies/epic movie/disaster movies- do have a place on my hard drive with about 600 others.
Watch Airplane or Naked Gun, and then throw those poor imitators away.

As for the video, wow. It actually manages to make Disaster Movie look good.
Hell, watch ANYTHING made my Mel Brooks and you'll throw your entire computer in the trash.
I bring you the 15 commandments (drops 1 tablet and it breaks...) the 10 commandments.
Thats F^.^ing funny.
saw spaceballs and young frankenstien for the same price as one of those retarded films...
Freshly dead... haha still kills me after 5 years.
My what are those coming out of her nose... "spaceballs" oh shit there goes the planet. (greatest ending ever)
Agreed. Even though some of the shit is incredibly silly, it's still unique and was original for the time. All the new parody movies tell the same fucking jokes that everyone has already told over and over and are riddled with lame ass pop culture references. The only thing good about any of those movies is Carmen Electra.... and she's getting old.

I hope that is a real trailer because it was fairly hilarious.

I love parodies, even if they are stupid and are of other comedies. I wonder how many people who knee-jerk wretch at stuff like this have regurgitated a line for their friends' benefit from family guy or some shit.
you are that person.

This shit is exactly what brooks and the zuckermans used to do. Cheap laughs on pop culture rips with outrageous bits in R-Rated fashion. But times change.

I don't care much for shit made after those planes slammed into the world trade towers either. It's as if those events sucked all creative expression out of the united states overnight. Movies. Music. Games. It all went to shit. Reality television took over. The news threatened to let your family die if you didn't watch their nightly special on whatever was going to kill it next.

But god damn it- stuff like this is in the spirit of the 80's cheese that people consider "classics" these days. You can't say something is great just because it's old and then discount it's modern day counterpart as trash. Well you could. You'd be an asshole though.

*shrugs*
Actually you can, quite easily so - the 80's cheese was genuinely entertaining. Sure it was stupid as hell, and sure it used all sorts of absurd pop-culture references, but the end result was actually funny and (key part here) still is (some of the references might not trigger the same responses these days but those were never the only reason the films were funny).

Whereas the current crop of [Name of Genre] Movies are what you'd get if somebody, who does not at all understand the entire underlying concept of humor, was made to watch all those 80s films and then asked to replicate them - soulless abominations that seem to think 'zany' situations and 'referencing other things' are inherently hilarious so there is no need to actually include jokes.

The underlying attitude is thus: Look at me! I'm pretending to be somebody from some other film/somebody who's famous somehow/etc - isn't that hilarious?! Now I'm doing something unexpected, you must be laughing so hard it hurts now! Ho ho ho, zany!

Turns out that's not actually funny at all, and when you do it to films that are (or at least claim to be) comedies then all you're doing is badly recreating jokes that were (sort of) funny in their original context and completely lame when you do a piss poor job of imitating them. Or put another way, you've created the cinematic equivalent of all the idiots who were running around saying "I'm Rick James, *****!" when they are A) Not Chappelle and B) Not funny, because they are not bloody Chappelle [http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=chappelle].

Edit: I just watched that without sound and it was still painful enough to permanently lower my IQ. If you find yourself chuckling, congratulations! You just won this lovely plaque which says "Please don't ever breed, we really don't need any more stupid in the gene pool" in bright shiny letters!

It was funny..

of course if those parodies weren't funny..then Meet The Spartans would have not made $84 FUCKING MILLION DOLLARS!!!!111!!
and Epic Movie? that made $86 MILLION..

That movie has made more than some "blockbuster" summer movies..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crista_Flanagan#Filmography
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meet_the_Spartans

To all you pretentious twits who think it isn't a "good movie"..please go back to watching Glengarry Glen Ross or something like that..

meanwhile to the people who just want to go to a movie and laugh, parody movies will continue..and did you know how much estimated money Scary Movie made? $287 Million..

I already said as much. It's regurgitation. People have been doing it for years. Mel Brooks has done it. The Zuckermans have done it. Tons of people are constantly repackaging and retelling jokes they saw or heard somewhere else. People still do it, because it's still funny, cheap as it may be. Get over it.

There's also a flip-side to this. Take 40 year old virgin for instance. Why bother cramming a done to death love story into an excuse to make filthy gags for 90 minutes? Can't I just have 90 minutes of filthy gags?

Lots of people were disappointed with Zombieland because it actually took a fair amount of time to develop the characters. Why be disappointed? Because some people just want 90 minutes of fuggin' zombies.

Some people just really can't be bothered to care about who's joke it is, care about the characters, or care about the plot/writing- at least some of the time. Think of it as Gonzo Pornography, but with less naked people and more jokes.

That was horrible, truly horrible, I can't stand spoof films.

However I will admit, I smiled when that 'can you hear me now guy' came out. But other than that it looks rubbish.

Naked chick on youtube! See it before its flagged!

Also stupid movie, only an idiot would do. It HAS to be a joke, I could tell from the pixels.

Though that Dateline bit was kinda funny. Shame this movie wasted the one time use of that joke now nobody else can

I internally smirked when the girl got hit by the car, but only because I thought the film was going to systematically kill off all these people before one guy is left to scream "This Film Is So Bad I had Everyone Killed!"

So I kinda laughed at my own joke about how the film sucked harder than a rift in time itself
