The most irritating thing is as a light tank, to be in a battle without arty and almost everyone is in a heavy. The most I can do is maybe hit some in the back and hopefully do 1% damage.

If you haven't heard of it its CS with tanks. simple as that.

I don't really see the appeal, nor how its like CS. But the music was good! =]

I cant tell you why we love this game....
Now currently all players have a garage. They start with shitty tanks from all 3 nations and have to play in a Team DeathMatch with a Capture the flag element. Its a lot of fun on some very fun (though they are stil limited... this is still in Closed Beta) maps. As you kill/damage/capture enemy base/stop enemy from capturing/scout/win you get XP and credits.
You use XP to research upgrades (new weapon, engine etc) and slowly progress to a new vechicle. You can choose to be a Artyllery, Heavy Tank, Medium Tank, Light Scout, Tank Destroyer. You can have multiple garage slots.
A NEW gamemode will be clan wars in which teams of 100 people (clans) fight in a big map of Europe and conquer/defend/lose territories. People that arent in a Clan can be mercenaries for clans.

The upgrades/research and different class tanks do sound interesting, but I guess I'm just not at all a tank enthusiast. I still don't quite get it to be the same as CS, but that I didn't mean as a bad thing anyway.

It's like CS in the sense that you can play it forever on the same map and not get bored, because the battle will always be different.

Lets reall make a group.... but you have to make it, im already admin in the STALKER group, and have a Metro 2033 group.

Maybe when it goes open beta, right now I'm too busy.

I got in the beta for this a while ago but it got a little stale for me. Never seemed to be in decent tank, and artillery seemed to just target me. I'm in a tier 3 tank destroyer surrounded by mid tier medium tanks, a couple of heavies and a few high tier SPG's. Who does the enemy artillery decide to 1 hit with the very first shot of the game? So fucking annoying, seemed to happen to me most games. Might jump back in at some point though.

I hate the slow tanks, that's why I went first for the light, then for the medium ones. You can dodge enemy fire easily in them.You compromise fire power and armor but your driving skill make up for them, and close up you will run in circles around artillery.

Tank destroyers are not my thing, I have no patience.

I tried light tanks for a bit, but seemed to have real problems crashing into pretty much everything. I'm not a very good driver. Tank Destroyers are right up my street. You just stick yourself in a bush for the whole game. TD cannons tend to be incredibly accurate over long ranges, so I could just sit back in a place that had good sight lines and pick away at everything.

This issue comes up in all games I play though. It doesn't seem to matter how many team mates are with me, or what they're doing, the enemy always target me first. One of my friends has taken advantage of this in Halo. If he sticks near me whenever we engage with enemies, he doesn't get shot at. It makes this game incredibly frustrating to play.

Anything dies fast to an SPG. The artillery should really be targeting the enemies SPG's first, possibly the heavy tanks as well. Not the tier 3 tank destroyer cowering in a bush. I stopped playing it just after they added platoons and the team balancing was a little borked. I had a few games in a row where I'd be killed by the very first shot of the game, despite being clearly useless compared to the strength of all the other tanks. Gets very annoying after a while.

The game looks pretty cool, not something I would play probably - not much of a PC gamer and can see it being hard to get into the game when everyone already has the best tanks

What is your guys favourite tank since the new update?
I am starting like my KV more and more since the update. I also freaking love the M5 Stuart. It got speed and great fire power.

I play this game on occasion.


My Panzer IV when I had her. I now use a VK3601(P), and the Leopard as my backup. Both are fully upgraded.

Wouldn't Ghost Division be a better song for a PzIV video then Primo Victoria?

Is it just me or when you get to tier 4 you end up facing a redicilous amount of heavy tanks? Because I feel pretty damn useless in my little PzKfw III, haha! ^^

Yes I found it funny too.

Actually the recruit battles are the most enjoyable, if you have the worst tank you won't fight against anything that even you cannot destroy with your weapons, they didn't design it for masochists.

Right now, the only way to do something like that is to set up a teamspeak 3 server like people from my country that are playing it have made.

Clans will arrive eventually, even before the game launches I think, because they said in an interview they aren't launching the game without completing every aspect of it.

It was part of the Lend-Lease agreement and I have read in a interview that were also bringing in the British eventually. Also the France and Japanese, but those were for more special battle's or something.

They WILL eventualy add every combat vehicle from every nation, Japan, Britain, France is what they confirmed.

I also heard that Clan Wars with the world map and regions you can conquer through tank battles give you the possibility of "building" prototype tanks like a panther 2 or something, this is all very vague though.

So there will be some tanks you can only get if you clan controls a certain region, or a industrial region or something like this.

Again, it's just ideeas I heard about or read about.

well im doing well with my mauder 2, but for some reason my panser 3 keeps getting put against Tigers etc so i carnt damage them and everything the enamy has can one shot me which is very annoying, im also having trouble chooseing between to Panzer IV or the Panzer III/IV

It seems like getting tanks would take forever without gold. Hell, it seems like getting tanks is going to take forever even with gold. It really sucks being in a light tank (pzKpfw III) when everyone else is in medium or heavy ones. Plus I can't decide if I should just focus one tree, or spread out.


The game itself is fun, though.
