An official announcement by the Obama administration disclosing the reality of extraterrestrial life is imminent. For several months, senior administration officials have been quietly deliberating behind closed doors how much to disclose to the world about extraterrestrial life. Dissatisfaction among powerful institutions such as the U.S. Navy over the decades-long secrecy policy has given a boost to efforts to disclose the reality of extraterrestrial life and technology.

The impending disclosure announcement follows upon the secret implementation of a year long openness policy on UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Over the period February 12-14, 2008, the United Nations held closed doors discussions where approximately 30 nations secretly agreed on a new openness policy on UFOs and extraterrestrial life in 2009. The openness policy was implemented but never publicly announced due to threats against UN diplomats not to disclose details of the secret agreement. h The secret UN agreement was based on two conditions. First, UFOs would continue to appear around the world; and second, the openness policy would not lead to social unrest in liberal democracies. Both conditions have been satisfied making it possible for the next stage to begin ? official disclosure of extraterrestrial life.

Obama?s September 24, 2009 chairing of the UN Security Council meeting on nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, signaled his emerging leadership role in tackling major global issues such as nuclear weapons. The Nobel Peace Prize was an important step in giving global legitimacy to President Obama in making an extraterrestrial disclosure announcement. Obama is therefore poised to play a prominent role in the increased global governance that will be necessary after an extraterrestrial disclosure announcement. The timing would most likely coincide sometime soon after his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech on December 10, 2009 in Oslo, Norway.

There have been various sources that have revealed deliberations are underway to make an announcement concerning the existence of extraterrestrial life by the end of 2009. These include, Dr Pete Peterson, a whistleblower who has recently emerged revealing high level discussions have taken place concerning announcing the existence of extraterrestrial life. In a Project Camelot interview, Dr Peterson revealed that ?Obama is planning to disclose the reality of ET contact by the end of the year; and that most, but not all, of the ET visitors are friendly.?

Another source is David Wilcock, a prominent researcher of emerging scientific paradigms. Wilcock has been told by additional independent sources that extraterrestrial disclosure will take place by the end of 2009. He furthermore claimed in a Coast to Coast AM radio interview that ?a 2-hour international TV special has already been booked that will introduce an alien species, similar to humans, to the world.?

In addition, popular NASA and space researcher, Richard Hoagland, has publicly come forward to reveal that the October 9, LCROSS ?bombing? mission of the moon, discovered an ancient base at the moon?s South Pole. Reviewing the scientific data achieved by NASA?s LCROSS mission, Hoagland concluded, also on the popular late night Coast to Coast AM radio show, that ?LCROSS is part of a carefully constructed campaign to prepare the populace for imminent disclosure. The President of the United States will soon announce that scientists have discovered ruins on the moon, he added. Nobody saw the LCROSS debris plume because the probes struck a building which swallowed the effects of the explosion.?

Finally, two independent and confidential sources have revealed to me that face to face meetings have recently occurred between U.S. military officials with one or more groups of extraterrestrial visitors. This has allegedly led to confidence being built for future cooperation with the extraterrestrials that will be formally announced to the world public either at the end of 2009, or early 2010.

In conclusion, a diverse number of sources and events point to some form of extraterrestrial disclosure being made by the end of 2009, or early 2010. Official disclosure will most likely emerge in either of two scenarios. One is that President Obama will announce the existence of extraterrestrial visitors, and describe one or more of these to the world. This scenario is supported by Peterson, Wilcock, and my own confidential sources. The second scenario is that an announcement will be made concerning the discovery of artificial structures at the moon?s South Pole, as revealed by the LCROSS mission. This scenario is supported by Hoagland.

Which ever of the above scenarios is used for announcing the existence of extraterrestrial life or technology, President Obama will figure prominently. Behind the scenes, powerful institutions are ensuring that nothing derails the planned disclosure announcement. The disclosure will follow upon a year of greater government openness on UFOs in accord with a policy secretly developed at the United Nations. If extraterrestrial disclosure does occur at the end of 2009 or early 2010, President Obama will lead an unprecedented effort to promote global governance through the United Nations. The Obama administration and its supporters are poised to take a bold step forward in helping our planet become an interplanetary culture that openly deals with the challenges posed by extraterrestrial life.

Wiki on the author of the article -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Salla

Couple quick thoughts here: I don't claim to BELIEVE Salla's claims. Like many stories I post I find the possibility interesting and if he was right (the most massive "if" on the level of "if" I was sexually attracted to some woman) it'd be the most amazing event in human history. I do think it's interesting though, Salla's putting a lot of his "credibility" (using the term very loosely) on the line here. Like most people in this "field" he usually sticks to vague generalities and extremely far off timelines, I doubt he has many devoted followers but being proven wrong (as he most likely would be) would be quite a blow to a PhD that has at least above average credentials for the field. So, it's interesting.

What do you guys think?.

if there are aliens, then they don't seem to want to attack and/or enslave us, but that might be because of us being useless to them/the world gives away lots of people to sate their thrist of slavery. and if a country doesn't instantly attack the aliens, then humans really have grown as a species.

Its all viral marketing for "V"

I would love to have something like this to happen. But really, why would Obama choose to reveal the most important scientific discovery in history in the middle of a debate between the economy and health care? At least his poll ratings would skyrocket. Besides, I am weary of Richard Hoagland. This is the 'face on Mars guy', and anyone looking to him is immediately suspect. I don't buy this article for a second.

I am entertaining the idea of it though. I believe that anyone who takes a moment to look up at the night sky has some measure of wanting a "disclosure" to happen. To know that among those beautiful clusters of galaxies and radiant stars, we aren't the only ones looking up.

Yet, the possibilities of it happening within our lifetime are slim-to-none.

I heard something a few years ago about some American government guy dying and leaving an envelope not to be opened until his death. Apparently, inside it said yes there were aliens and he described what they looked like. I didn't know what to think then, and I don't know what to think now. It all seems unbelievable, but if there is such a press conference in the next year, you can bet I'll be watching.

EDIT: Although this sounds suspiciously like a certain television premiere I watched last week. Viral marketing for V sounds incredibly plausible to me
I know..I got that weird feeling too.

Hm..

I enjoy entertaining ideas such as these to humor myself. Something along the lines of the end of the Mayan calendar isn't when the world ends, but when they aliens return. The fact that Obama's term ends in 2012 is also another convenient coincidence. I also heard an announcement a year or two ago where the Catholic church acknowledged it was OK for people to believe in aliens. I'm just glad I'm not a real conspiracy theory nut, because I would be shitting my pants looking at all these "facts" that they are coming!

I'm almost positive this is marketing for "V" or for Encounter of the Fourth Kind. We are being pranked on a massive level here people, like, remember when they did War of the Worlds on radio back in the 30's or whenever? (Ok, YOU probably don't remember, neither do I, I wasn't born yet, but it helps prove my point).

I'll believe it when I see a UFO for myself.

There is a new movie called V? What like V for Vendetta?

In the unlikely event that this declaration happens to be true, & not some promotion for a remake of a crappy 80's sci-fi drama/soap opera....

i strongly believe that the Extra-Terrestrial life-form will probably be nothing more than a simple celled organism, not some sentient humanoid zipping about in a flying saucer.

Richard Dawkins (the athiest dude with the issues with Christians) basically demonstrates that life will propogate wherever it can. There are organisms that survive in the depths of oceans where pressures would crush humans. There are organisms that survive in ultra-high and ultra-low temperatures, and all with the barest of atmosphere. - One of the top contenders for the possibility of Extra-Terrestrial life is the moon Europa, where scientists believe that there may be microbes in the ocean that hides underneath the ice of the planet's surface.

Considering that there is life just about everywhere on Earth where it can be sustained, why not on any planet with a semi-decent orbit around a semi-decent star? We happen to be on a planet that has the right ingredients to create 'us', but move the distances a little bit, increase or decrease temperatures, and 'we' would be very different looking creatures. However, in a galaxy of billions of stars, amongst billions of galaxies, the probability of more life out there is very very high.

There is every likelihood that there is sentient life out there, but before we get all star-trek, who's to say that:
a) They visit/have visited Earth
b) They even know where we are
c) Even if they do know where we are, they would actually care about paying a visit to our polluted, warmongering, greedy little planet
d) They have the means of travelling the stupidly long distances to find us

With regards to point d, space travel for us is a major problem. Even to fly to some of the nearest stars & galaxies, and even if we were to attain light speed, it would still take years - Just to fly to the centre of the Milky Way would take 35,000 years even at light speed.

If these sentient aliens were 4th dimensional beings, then yes, it is possible that they could cross 3D space with no issues at all. (a bit like an ant crawling from one corner of a newspaper to the other. It could take the long route, or the newspaper could be folded so the corners were touching). Mind you, they would look extremely odd to us. We would see them as 3D shadows of their real selves, and the forms would change continually...

If the president does indeed announce that they've found bacteria on a lump of ice outside the earth, it will seem like a big old anticlimax to some.

I wouldn't be surprised if the government announced that extraterrestrial beings had not only made contact, but had begun to live among us years ago. I mean, the evidence is staggering.

They live among us, and they like Italian food. Be prepared.

I'm a bit skeptical here, primarily because it sounds so much like what they've done in the movies whenever aliens are discovered. So it sounds a bit bogus.

Then again, what if they were covering it up by releasing the truth via movies so we would doubt it as nothing more than Hollywood shenanigans?! EGAD, MY BRAIN IS LEAKING OUT MY EARS! D:

That would be amazing. I've kind of got my hopes up now, but at the same time I know it's probably fake. I guess we'll see around the end of the year...
