As Merutio wrangled the ship through the planet's atmosphere, the comms switched on and barked in his ear.
"-I'm coming up to the cabin to make a couple more calibrations." Merutio muted the comms and turned his attention back to stopping the ship from falling.

Hey guys, I found out where Tommunist is. It looks like he's been addicted for the past week to another RP on the forums called League Of Sidekicks 2. Should I message him to let him know he's meat to be GMing us?

Vince looked at Three, "Yeah I don't care what you look like as long as you have my back. Also while I have a chemist and a medic here I would like to learn how to make poisons."

yeah only one person should pm him, you go ahead and do it :D

Three smiled it's thanks, glad that they accepted it. "I'm only trained in field medicine," it said to Vince, "But as I understand, poison making is nothing more than administering a chemical that upsets the biochemistry of your victim. Cyanide works well on oxygen breathing creatures, though other aliens are harder, since they have different sets of chemicals." It stopped, thought, then added, "If you really want to fuck someone up, just inject them with a fluorine compound, like hydrofluoric acid. That stuff's so powerful it'll go through skin, bone, glass and steel"

Joke sized up Vince and smirked, "Hydroflouric acid is a contact poison, and its fairly easy to make as long as you have the right tools for the job. I doubt you do, but I have a lab on the ship where I run my chem stuff. I could teach you if you want, but it will cost you and I sure ain't going to set up a learning curve for ya. Plus, I've got other stuff you could make as well."

Got a reply back from Tommunist - apparently his connection has been a snowstorm lately, and he'll be back when he's needed.

"Thanks for the tips on poisons, I just figured we could use every advantage we could get as we have an enemy hunting down a member of our team and presumably us as well. So how much does the good stuff cost?"

'Oh jesus... There was a guy, messing with my rucksack. I taught him a lesson he won't soon forget, but...' As if on cue a loud ticking noise came from the bag. 'Oh crud... this is a present from George. It's a little thing he likes to call the win-win bomb. If we open the bag, it will explode, if we leave it, we all go bang.'

"At this rate is may be safer to space everything Shanks has touched on the ship, next an alien will probably pop out of his chest and eat us. Depending on the bomb type we may not want to chuck it in space as the pressure change may cause it to explode right next to the ship."

Vince glared at Shanks, "Maybe we should call a person who knows about bombs to fix this?"

A bomb big enough to damage a ship from the outside? thought Three, Bloody hell, this guy is a serious safety hazard to have around...

It decided to stay quiet; this wasn't the sort of thing it was experienced in...

"I've got a solution to your little problem right here," Joke calmly stated as he pulled a vial out his coat. "Just set the bag down in a sink or a bucket or something, and I'll just pour this on top. You'll own me big time though."

Mila managed to make it to the pilot control room, the ship had been moving around in the atmosphere so the hallways were a little unstable. Inside the room, she found Merutio at the controls.

"Hello" she said as she plugged in her J.A.C.K tool to a data port, as the data downloaded into her tablet, she pulled out her bailsong and began to fan it again. Her arm moved up, down, left and right as she rapidly folded and unfolded the butterfly knife, then she head a small ding on her tablet. Putting the knife in her pocket, she taped away at the tablet for several more seconds before uploading the calibrations back into the control

"There, now the controls should be a little more responsive" she said as she pulled the knife back out and began to fan it. "So what's the verdict, will this bucket of bolts fly us to the moon or what?"

"Ok Joke as long as you don't kill us", Vince walked over to the intercom and turned it on, "Will the owner of a ticking time-bomb please claim it?" Vince took a deep breath,"Did I mention that we have a live bomb on board?"

Joke stood over the bag with the bomb, and prepared to pull the stopper off of the vial. "Anyways, this vial contains a special liquid that I created while living on the planet Zenx. It is a special compound that is usually a gas, but through high pressure vacuums and air tight containers, it can be made into a liquid, but if it leaves the container it will turn back into a gas after a few seconds. To put it simply, this chemical will react with any and all metals beyond glass and turn break apart their bonds, turning the metal permanently into dust." Joke quickly broke the seal of the bottle and dumped it into the bag. A loud sizzling could be heard, and when Joke opened up the bag a few seconds later, nothing metal remained inside except as a fine powder. "Its known as Xavier's Myst, you may have heard of it."
I am also wondering what is up with the forum's new title.

Merutio heard footsteps and checked his rear-view of the cockpit. The woman from earlier was wandering around and doing something with her pad. She seemed to stop doing something, and spoke to what could be seen of Merutio in the ensconcing pilot's compartment in the wall.
"So what's the verdict, will this bucket of bolts fly us to the moon or what?" The voice came out crackly and distorted through the headset around his ears, because he would not be able to hear anything with so little soundproofing between him and the thruster fan column. He raised his hand behind the seat and out of the small recess, putting his thumb and forefinger in a loop. He then turned on the speakers for the cockpit, his Itralian accent made tinny and cracked from the antiquated wiring.
The ship gave a shake as it hit a patch of turbulence.
"I'm currently trying to get us out of the atmosphere - once we're free of the planet's gravity, I'll be able to move the ship smoothly and put it on autopilot occasionally. But for now, I need to stay here constantly to adjust for air currents and keep the thrusters going. If you could sit down at the co-pilot console and keep the fan speed from going over 2000rpm, it might speed up our ascent."

Mila folded her bailsong and put it in her pocket, as her tablet uploaded the calibrations, she took a seat at the co-pilot station and put a pair of headphones on, activating her console, he spend several seconds, checking the calibrations as the ship ascended.

A ding told her the console was ready; she faced it and began to tap away at the controls, trying to keep the fan regulated at a safe speed. The ship jostled around slightly in the turbulence.

"I've got her at around 1869 rpm" she said into her headset "She seems to be holding fine right now"

Merutio's new co-pilot spoke to him through the fuzzy intercom as he fought to keep the ship stable through a patch of turbulence. "I've got her at around 1869 rpm - she seems to be holding fine right now." He nodded to himself and watched as the brown sky in front of him gradually deepened to black and stars became visible in the thinning atmosphere. The rumbling that had pervaded the ship as it climbed began to slow, the ship encountering fewer and fewer atoms to struggle against. Merutio spoke to his co-pilot again, not bothering to use the headsets now everything was quieter.
"We've left the upper atmosphere, and we're approaching the gate for the Shinkoku system. Could you check everybody's had their passports re-injected lately? If Immigration find one person on this ship with an unreadable passport there'll be hell to pay."

"No problem" Mila said as she got up and made her way to the part of the ship she had seen people playing cards in. Opening the door, she saw several people. They were gathered around a bag and looked scared.

"Everyone got thir passports ready?" Mila asked, oblivious to what was happening.

Vince looked at the newcomer,"Which one do you want?" He smiled, "I though the flight atendents didn't ask for pasports anymore, oh and I think the passport info can wait until the bomb is dealt with properly, thank you."

Vince leaned to Joke, "Is it ready to be spaced yet?"
