Fury Is Me. said:
Crap... I was hoping you could give me some help. I can't beat the last boss because she has this instant kill attack that hits the entire party, and she does it on the first turn. The only way to stop it is to kill one of her tentacles, and one can only be hurt by physical attacks, and the other one can only be killed by magic. The problem is that they have like 27000 hp and My two ninjas can only do 18000. I kept one guy as a red mage, For god knows what reason, the entire game and now, if I make him a ninja to do the last 9999 hit on it, he'll be weaker and won't even be able to do it. And he'll have no armour or weapons... And I can't change my Sage cause then i won't have a healer....
Subject Fury, when I played it, I got totally stuck here - but what I did was used a Warrior, that I'd been training up for the entire game (Luneth), a Magus, which I'd only got a little while before (Arc), a Devout, which was similar to the Magus (Refia), and a ninja, who I literally changed just before going to beat her (Ingus). All of these guys had pretty much the best weapons and armour from Eureka, plus ribbons.
To beat her, I used Luneth's Advance on the Physical tentacle repeatedly (did 9999+ each time), got Arc to use Flare on the tentacle - however, I didn't beat the tentacle, so I recommend attacking the body with it. Then I had Ingus basic-attacking the physical tentacle, and Refia using Curaja on everyone (use the right button on the D-Pad) each turn - occasionally using erase on the CoD.
After the Physical tentacle died, I got everyone on the body, Ingus now using shurikens, and Refia still using Curaja on all.
And that, my friend, is how, after 6 months of trying and rage-quitting, I beat Final Fantasy 3.
The big lesson to learn from this is that all of my characters, par Luneth, had been training for only the last bit of the game. Change your Red Mage to a Magus/Devout, and you'll be ten times better.
