Subject Mudkip, good point. I'm getting it though. Then the strongest weapon is that gun isn't it?
Subject Ren, you won't be sorry.

Subject Ren, the International Version of FF XII is a lot harder but has new monsters, hunts, weapons, and is in Japanese. I can read it though so yay. It's like Kingdom Hearts Final Mix for KH 1 and 2, or the FF X and FF X-2 International editions.

Subject Ren, it's better to get that if your PS2 is hacked. I can get it since mine is.
Subject Lost, I see. Oh and that is why I never buy from Best Buy. They swindle you like hell. Say what you want about Gamestop, but all the Gamestops I go to don't swindle you like that. All the extra costs that would be on buying a console for me is warranty time. Which I'm reminded I should renew for my PS3 soon.

Subject Max, I distrust all retail equally, the rule of capitalism is that greed fuels everything so I'm very careful where I buy now

Subject Lost, same here. Except the people at my Gamestops give me discounts and I take advantage of deals like the "Buy 2 get one free" deals. Or the trade in extras combined with store credits to always have plenty of money and games left over. It's all about finding the best deals really.

Subject Max, but I can't read Japanese!
Also, subjects Max and Lost... it is a big dick move from them... they're trying to capitalize on people's idiocy and/or lack of technical skill. And everyone will end up having to update the firmware again, I doubt they'll pay $30 every time. But still, if they tell people they can do it at home for free, I think it's the customer's own fault. But they probably don't.

Subject Ren, learn then!
Also, I think if people aren't smart enough to see the scam in that and actually fall for it then it's partly their fault too. It is a dick move to charge that, but if you're stupid enough to fall for it then you're at a bigger fault because you didn't take the time to fully research for the best price, deal, and to see if it's legit.

Subject Max and Ren I completely disagree with that. A customer may not be buying that console for themselves. What if Grandma Jessy is getting it for little Timmy. First of all its idiotic to assume she's going to be a technological genius and realize that this is a scam. Instead she's going to think, "My these nice men giving me a deal on this console for my grandson."

Its exploitation and disgusting and that's all there is to it.

Which is why I think it should be clearly stated that it can be done for free. And that the games that need it bring it on the disk. They're selling something that people don't need.

Subject Lost, I don't. I'm just saying that if they did, it wouldn't be such a dick move on their part.

Speaking of which, did anyone see that "dick move" thread?

Subject Lost, but they should know what the right prices are and even what the possible scams are. My grandfather is 84 and he still does that on his own and knows to find everything out about it before making the purchase. It's plan idiotic to buy it the first time you see it at all and while yes people will be scammed and they might not know about certain things; it's there responsibility to check for the legitimacy of these things before making a purchase. If they don't do that though and just buy it the first time they see it then not only are they possibly moronic and have probably bad finances; they also are lazy.
