some poor unfortunate bot. I never got an answer but I got the badge, so I can say that you should be cool - especially considering your badge credentials.
Mind you, that was a long time ago. I'm not sure the mods run on the same guidelines or rules that they used to - I believe they've updated somewhat over the past few years.
I have a question, is swearing acceptable as long is it isn't excessive or aimed to insult other members or derogatory to any groups. For example "I found the story of Super awesome mega ducks from space to be fucking awesome!" would that be acceptable?, I just want to know so I don't cross the line.

Back when I was a mod, I did actually ask Spin for a way to allow users to see their current records (date, type, length, post, everything a mod can see apart from who gave it out). EDIT: I also meant for it to be a private thing for only the user to see, like the message inbox. It is down on record as far as I know as a possibility, but I don't know if it will ever be implemented or not. I hope so, as I amongst other users have had issues in the past about whether or not certain punishments were on record.bdcjacko said:

Punishments are permenantly on record by the system unless it's a mod error. They have been removed after a stroke of good behaviour, but that's only happened once to a user who had one very minor slip-up and then became one of the most helpful users on the site before appealing over that slip-up. I would say who they were, but they kind of gave themselves away on this very page [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.112832#10829105]. Apart from them, noone else to my knowledge has ever had punishments removed, that includes users who have since become mods.

They weren't claiming to have watched it already or made any indication they were "firsting," and the 2nd user who posted it three minutes after couldn't have finished watching either, yet he wasn't put on probation.bdcjacko said:

It isn't quite the same as saying "First!" -- which actually gets accounts suspended -- but it often follows similar intentions whilst trying to avoid punishment. As much as my morbid curiosity would enjoy having "rap sheets" for everyone, I understand, respect, and appreciate the reasoning behind why not. I do think it would be nice to be able to view your own run-ins with the mods however.
