After 5 years of writing it better be good. Though I really want to see what direction they are going.
In an interview it was said the album could've been made after Room on Fire but before First Impressions of Earth. Take from that what you will, I for one think it's going to be their best yet.

So amazing. <3 Every song is inch perfect.
A rare specimen, A Strokes fan who doesn't put Is This It over Room on Fire.

Both fucking great albums though.
I've struggled to figure out which of the two is better for a while. I still don't think I could say. While my favourite Strokes song, Ask Me Anything, is on the 3rd album, the first two are just start to finish amazing.
I guess I would put Is This It over Room on Fire because almost every song on Is This It sounds single worthy, but my god there both good.

I think this thread just turned into one giant Strokes fap session

The Rolling Stones, said It would be the best one since Is This It.

I just don't know how much I trust Rolling Stones. *Some of there reviews have soured me.*

Nothing can match Thriller, it is the single best selling album of all time for a reason.
You're kidding right?
It is a good album, great hooks, no real bad tracks. Approach it with an open mind and you may be surprised.

This is a fools task naming a greatest ever album, I will drop a few suggestions of great albums though.

Have faith my friend, have faith. :) It will be great, and it will be misunderstood by somebody. It is the way of things.

I already have preorder the album so I have the expectation that it will be good.

Dark side of the moon
This. even if just for the song Great Gig in the sky.

It may not be everyone's cup of tea but music is an opinion and i don't want to hear your opinion on how much Floyd sucks if you don't like them.

EDIT: Also Alive and Discovery.
I agree, great song. Although my favourite part of the album includes the last 2 songs.

2. Temple of the Dog - Temple of the Dog. Tribute to one of my all time favourite singers, Andrew Wood. Unlike Disintegration, which wallows in its sorrow, Temple begins in mourning and follows all the way through to rediscovered happiness, creativity and picks you back up by its finale.
Holy God!

I totally never expected to be ninja'd on mentioning Andy Wood - You've totally made my day.
Mother Love Bone's 'Apple' for me though.

n.b. Looking forward to the Andy Wood DVD coming out in March!!!
