For the 'Best' I would say the bassline in the songs Sympathy for the Devil and Roundabout.

The most 'under-rated' is the bassline in Machine Gun by Jimi Hendrix.

Well I do know the most iconic one: the one to Under Pressure.

Carol Kaye wrote a few legendary ones as well, though can't quite remember any specific songs off the top of my head.

I've always liked the bassline on The Birthday Party's "Mutiny In Heaven." It's simple and doesn't really go anywhere, but it fits so well.
