Avatar. It blew my mind to fucking bits.
And Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, the music playing during the Kraken scene had been haunting my dreams since I was three years old. The EXACT SAME fucking tune. 'Cept I didn't know what a kraken was when I was three so I described it as "an Octopus the size of an island".
Scary shit, man.

Did anyone else have little children in the theater while that movie was going? I did, didn't feel right. Too much freaky crap going on to expose young children to... but we are in a new age.
Nope, there was 3 people in the cinema, on the first day it came out. They accidentally released it a day early, and I was there by chance.

They let me in anyway! I just had to pay and I was in.
You lucky bugger! I have a couple friends that went on the first day release, and because of the epic lack of good advertising around that movie the theater was nearly empty. I envy them.

I don't recall the movie but the experience involved a box of wine (yes, we snuck in a BOX of wine) and oral sex. We may have also been drinking before we got to the theater.

I usually hate it when people shout stuff out at the cinema, but I remember going to see Harry Potter and I was with my girlfriend at the time. About halfway through the film at a really dramatic, talky bit she suddenly shouted "Katherine, don't touch me there!" in the strangest accent I've ever heard and I could not stop laughing XDD

She probably scarred some young HP fans for life haha

I don't really go to the cinema much. I went to see Avatar (3D) just because people were making it out to be an un-missable experience that wouldn't be the same at home. And yeah, it was pretty good. 2012 was rubbish. Sherlock Holmes was pretty damn cool, The Final Destination was ok but the 3D was weird.

Only just realised I'm blabbering like an idiot. I think I'm gonna have to say Avatar (3D) as the amount of quality put into it made such a huge experience that all other films (that would be equally as entertaining to watch at home) just can't compare to it in the big house.

When I saw Avatar.

Man, that movie was great.
I concur. I saw it in 3D. I was sitting exactly where you get the full effect of it.

Blew me away, I was stuck to my seat afterward. I left the cinema and my legs were shaking like I'd just been anally raped.

But I wasn't, I was Eye-raped!
That my friend is the best description of Avatar ever.

Ever.

Really this happens alot but heres my story. I went to a theater for the last movie of the day and I guess the manager was real Pis*ed off or something because he got into a rage and ended up giving me a free ticket for the movie.

Two occassions. First was when me and my mates went to see The Cave and were the only people in the theatre. The movie sucked, but we all sat and trash talked the movie and threw popcorn at each other (It was the salty popcorn that my mate bought, then decided he didn't like, so our violent popcorn showdown was not a waste).

The second occassion was when me and my mates, who are all Bond fans or action movie fans, went to see Casino Royale on the night in opened. The theatre was completely full. However, there were no chavs sat in the corner texting on their phones and being way too loud (such as during my second viewing of Avatar, not cool, but one guy eventually just stood up, in the middle of the packed theatre and told them all to "Shut the fuck up!", I felt like saluting him), the theatre was full of movie lovers or Bond fans. The atmosphere was brilliant, everybody seemed to have a great time. That was the best 'crowd' that I've ever been with when at some public event. It was awesome.

My best experience is split in three:

The Matrix, which i saw with my best friend. (19 years of gaming rivalry now)
Matrix Reloaded, saw that with my best female friend, now my GF.
Matrix Revolutions, saw that with my then GF, now....bitter ex bent on destroying me.

Which kinda reflects on the movies, Cool, cool, WTF?

A very loud couple a few rows in front of me started arguing about not having enough sex. I was watching "Up" with my nephew. Hilarity ensued.
