I remember this one pimp as theatre in San Antonio, I believe. It was kinda small, but the reclining chairs were comfy as shit and the screen pulled a Transformers and slid out of the wall.

Jurassic Park

It was my birthday party, I was eleven, the theatre was packed and the dinosaur roars were plentiful. And remember, this was a time before the internet; I had not seen or heard anything about this movie except for two scenes.
The movie opens with that poor gatekeeper getting viciously pulled into the velociraptor cage and I was hyperventilating into my Coca Cola-filled paper cup.

Just thinking back to seeing that movie for the first time fills me warm and fuzzy feelings.

Probably "watching" a bond movie after a gig. Having travelled to London for a NIN gig, my friend and I had about 9 hours and nowhere to go. We paid a stupid price (at least £12 a ticket), but got huge comfy seats, heating and sedative (re:Bond), all of which gave us a couple hours kip before heading back out into the winter air for another 5 hours.

My idiot friend laughing loudly at all the bad jokes and everyone else in the room laughing at him about a second after. Pretty much any movie.

Either seeing Iron Man with friends on my birthday or that time I saw Monsters Vs. Aliens with my family in am empty theater. I'm leaning towards the former, as I didn't really take advantage of having the theater to myself.

I was watching "Return of the Silver Surfer" with my friends, and during the beginning trailers, there was a static line obstructing the right side of the screen. A few minutes later, the movie shut off and the lights came on. The manager of the theater came in at that time and told up to sit tight and the problem was being fixed. A while later, the movie started again.

Getting laid during Smokin Aces.
Yup, but mine was Anger Management. That was quite a few years ago, and I've never been able to watch that movie for it's full potential.

Watching Jurassic Park for the first time when I was around 9 or 10 years old. That movie blew my child mind.

Going to see Transformers 2 with my friend. We were the only two people in the theater and could do whatever the hell we wanted.

For me it would be seeing Avatar the first time in 3D. It was the only 3D experience I actually enjoyed.
Avatar was a cool experience, but my favorite so far has been "Snakes on a Plane." It was like watching the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" but less 70s and more modern.

Every time someone important (Samuel Jackson, David Koechner) appeared on screen the crowd went NUTS. And when he said the line, everyone shouted it with him. "I've had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!" Getting an entire audience involved in a movie is quite fun.

The first LotR movie. It was not only incredible fun, completely likeable, extremely long, moving, merely the beginning, but also gave the sure impression that there was an entire world of condensed fantasy awesomeness and beauty behind it. I bought the books shortly beforehand, but didn't read them before. When the second movie came out, I thought it was getting slightly disappointing compared to the original, and I hardly ever enjoyed RotK.

I was gonna go see Avatar with some 8 other friends, but the booking system online didn't allow more than 4-6 seats to be reserved, so we split the reservations on two groups. One of my friends who was gonna make reservations for our group did it the same day, but he forgot to choose the right city, and instead booked 5 seats in a theater 100 kilometers away. When we discovered that and tried to find seats for the right theater they only had spread seats left, so we cashed the tickets for money and walked home with our popcorn and Coke to a friend's and watched A Knight's Tale on a projector instead.

It wasn't the experience I would have expected, but we still had a great time and above all a great laugh. From now on I'll be the one booking seats, though.

Going to see to Zombieland. They showed a teaser for "Nightmare On Elm Street" and when a screen with Michael Bay's name came up during a lull in the intro's creepy music- someone groaned "Uh- Michael Bay!?" really loud and half the theater cracked up.

The audience was totally into the movie and they cheered on the special cameo appearance.

The second occassion was when me and my mates, who are all Bond fans or action movie fans, went to see Casino Royale on the night in opened.
When me and my friends went to see Goldeneye on opening day, we went to a brand new theater. We came all dressed up in suits like a bunch of dorks. When I went to hand the tickets to the ticket taker with all of us there he got extremely confused and asked us if we were security.

This led us to the James Bond theory of Belonging. If you wear a suit or tux, and just walk around acting like you belong somewhere- no one will question you.

I was half expecting stories of sex and drugs being enjoyed under the noses of theater workers, but I guess people are more decent than I thought. Fancy that.
This one time I could smell the "scent" of a girl a row in front of me who's boyfriend was "poking around" with her.

Phew.

Good thing I didn't bring a date to that one.

We went to see Lesbian Vampire Killers (which was excellent), and there was no on else in the cinema. We had a Millions fight. They go pretty bloody far when fired through a straw.

Watching New Moon whilst being absolutely hammered. It made the whole affair entirely hilarious, and completely memorable, apart from what happened in the movie... what did happen anyway?
