My GOTD is Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4. No game I've ever played has done so many things right or kept me as engaged as P4 has.
It's wrong since you started counting from the wrong year. The Austin said:messy said:2000,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007,2008,2009,
I make that 10 years therefore decade or is that wrong?
Win.
You start by saying that 2000 isn't part of this decade (which is correct), and then say that the best game of the decade was one that was released in 2000. Oh dear.TOGSolid said:It's wrong since you started counting from the wrong year.
Moving along, the game of the decade is Deus Ex. No other game managed to match this game's sheer level of depth and groundbreaking RPG capabilities. Kill whoever you want, play the game however you want, the game just keeps on going and adjusts accordingly. It's a damn shame that most everyone's opinion is based only on the last few years though since those are the freshest in their memory. The games of the first part of the decade were way better for the most part.
Was Deus Ex released in 2000? *double checks* Oh hey it was. Cut me some slack, that was 10 years ago >.> Well, then in that case I'm arbitrarily going with Devil May Cry 3, soley because no other brawler has gotten even close to it, and let's face it nothing released this decade was actually all that fantastic. All the good shit seems to have come out in the late 90s.Axolotl said:You start by saying that 2000 isn't part of this decade (which is correct), and then say that the best game of the decade was one that was released in 2000. If it makes it any better I agree with you about Deus Ex being an amazing game and about the late 90's being awesome (at least for RPGs).TOGSolid said:Was Deus Ex released in 2000? *double checks* Oh hey it was.
