Halo 3, simply because of the mass amount of time I sank into it in multiplayer. Some good times, there.
I certainly have more hours in Everquest or WoW than probably all the other games combined, but they would not be my number 1... though Everquest would be damned close, but I'm disqualifying it since it was released in 1999.
I would have to go with ME2. Seems cliche at the moment, but it's a fact for me. So far, it's my favorite, with Portal, Left4Dead, and Medieval 1:Total War close behind.

This needs to be broken down into Genre.... but even then I have too many
KOTOR, Halo, Halo 3, Gears of War 1 & 2, Mass Effect, Oblivion, Dragon Age, Morrowind, Orange Box is probably the best gaming deal of the decade, Bioshock, Spiderman 2, I could keep going...

Half-Life 2 probably has to be it, in the end it may well be my favourite game of all time, so yeah...
I don't know if I can pick a single favorite from all the great games. I would say GTA3 was probably the most revolutionary. It took 3D exploring to a whole new level and paved the way for countless followers.
BioShock, Mass Effect, and Modern Warfare 1 are easy contenders, but in terms of sheer time spent playing and fun had, I have to go with Summoner: A Goddess Reborn on the GameCube.
