Mass Effect: Bought it on a whim and I was blown away. Feel like a tool for not realizing what an amazing game it was before then.

While not in an actual bin, I did pick up Sly Cooper 2 at Best Buy for $5.

Good deal if you ask me.

Actual bargain bin: Painkiller: Special Edition for $4. It's the same as Painkiller, they just removed the cutscenes. Therefore, it's an excellent deal.
Sale: I got Garrysmod for about $5 on a steam holiday sale. I. FREAKING. LOVE. GARRYSMOD.
Fun Fact: Garrysmod is the only game in which you can have Scorpion kick Justin Bieber into an abbatoir while riding in a flaming bathtub.

Mirror's Edge for £5. Good times. Much better than a lot of people give it credit for.
One of those Cult classic video games.

I loved it.

OT: I think I got Oblivion for about thirty bucks. It was like three years after it came out though, so I don't know how much of a bargain that was. It is still my favorite game of all times.

Can you believe it? That game is over six years old now ( I think...)

Tropico 3, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements, and Mirror's Edge for $10 total.

I've also gotten Civilization IV The Complete Edition for $10, and WWE Smackdown! 2011 for $15, all thanks to EB Games' Used Games bin.

Sometimes games can surprise you. Just because they are older, doesn't mean that they aren't good. So my question is: What's the greatest game you bought from an bargain bin? One that you only bought because it was cheap and upon playing realized it was awesome?
Actually, I specifically find that a lot of older games have more passion and innovation than many newer games, so I usually lean towards them :D

Prey. For three dollars.

Three.

Try and find me a better deal than that.
I was going to buy Batman: Arkham Asylum on Steam, rather cheaply by the way, when I noticed I could get it for 2 dollars less... if I also bought Just Cause with it xD

Yep, I got a game for -2$ :) Oh, Steam, you have yet to disappoint me~

Pokemon Puzzle 64. My mother loved that game xD, for the puzzle. She was happy when we got her it for her birthday.

For myself, probably Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for Xbox ^_^

Minecraft, 10 Euro. Around 300 hours of playtime so far.

Silent Hunter IV, 7 Euro. Amazingly fun simulator.

Defcon for 3 Euro. Fun little game to play every once in a while.

Robopon: Ring Version for the Gameboy advance. Not only was it both fun and funny, but it was the first game that really made me notice the publisher name of Atlus which eventually lead me to picking up DemiKids: Light Version which eventually lead to me discovering the franchise of Shin Megami Tensei as a whole.

In other words, a fairly small GBA RPG game is what indirectly lead to the discovery of what is now my favorite video game franchise.

Was actually Fire Emblem, found it at walmart for 10 bucks. I was like, shit 10 bucks for a DS game! I'll give it a try.

2 weeks later when I actually put the game down...I couldn't believe such a good game was in the bargin bin!

5, came out in 06.
OP: Same here. Got the GOTY edition as the first game for my 360 a couple of years ago for 20$. That and Legend of Dragoon for 16$ are my best bargains.

Portal 1, when it was free.
Team Fortress 2, only $10.

I also have pretty much an entire library made up of PS1 and PS2 bargain bin gems:
Robotech: Battlecry (I. Fucking. Love. Robotech.)
The ENTIRE PS2 Devil May Cry trilogy for only $30.
Final Fantasy VII, $10.
MGS3: Snake Eater, Dark Cloud, Xenosaga, Star Wars: Starfighter, The Spyro games... I could go on forever.
Actually, now I feel sort of ashamed that I don't really go bin hunting anymore and just buy games as the come out. Bin hunting was definitely more fun.

Used orange box for like 10 or 20$. Forget how much it was.

4 of the greatest games I've ever played (don't have xbox live gold for TF2) That's like 2-5$ per game. Best deal I ever got.
You're better off. I got The Orange Box for the 360 when it first came out, but TF2 sucks so much on the Xbox that I had to go out and buy the PC version.
Honestly, they haven't updated the Xbox version once, but the PC version has been updated countless times. Also, last time I played TF2 on Xbox there was only ONE game ever available with the same six people, and that was two or three years ago!
That's because Microsoft charge developers for making patches to the games. Ends up with developers not wanting to patch them.

Best thing I got... Saints Row 2 5 dollars. I love that game, and I've played the hell out of it, not my absolute favourite, but it's up there. There's also Killing Floor. I've played that so much and I got a 75% discount on it.
