I love my fedora but I gotta agree. Unless I'm wearing a suit[granted I wear a suit nearly everyday including days off], and its raining, I generally keep it stored on that hat rack.Cakes said:"Really cool movie and video game characters wear fedoras...that means a fedora will look really cool on me!!!"FalloutJack said:My full and badass beard wishes to convey some disagreement on the subject of hats somehow equating to neckbeard. Indiana Jones wears a fedora.
Tom Baker's worn a fedora as the Doctor.
Neil Gaiman's Anansi wears a fedora.
The Spirit, Rorschach, and other trenchcoat heroes wear them, including Canada's greatest super hero, the Red Panda!
Shotarou from Kamen Rider Double has a whole collection and so did his mentor.
Also found in Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
I wear a fedora now. Fedoras are cool.

Odds are you don't look like Don Draper or Indiana Jones, sorry. The only acceptable time to wear a fedora is with a suit (PROTIP: the situation must actually call for a suit), and even then it's iffy. I've seen a fedora look good on exactly 1 person in real life, and he was a very handsome, physically fit and obviously well-to-do fifty-something businessman. Otherwise I only ever seen them on nerds who dress like complete shit, as if the fedora is going to make their video-game t-shirt and dad-jeans ensemble look real classy.

hat to burst your bubble but thats a picture of a trilby not a fedora, a fedora has a larger brim.Ashhearth said:So we all have our favorite kind of hat be it classy, silly or just plain weird. Mine happens to be the fedora It looks classy, makes any suit look that much better and I think it makes playing jazz piano that much more awesome.

So my fellow escapists what happens to be your favorite hat? There are (almost) no wrong answers
Captcha: Saucy! Yes captcha I do think fedora's make me look saucy

sorry to be a pedant but hats are IMPORTANT!
trilbys are the best hats though.
I'll go with my good old black beanie hat with "No Fear" branded on one side in silver and purple, I swear I can't leave the house without it anymore it's like my straw hat or something.Ashhearth said:So my fellow escapists what happens to be your favorite hat? There are (almost) no wrong answers

IT's to prevent fiends and vagabonds from stealing your hat, or confusing it for another gentleman with similar tastes.Ashhearth said:Yeah I see that now. Why is it that nowhere has a place you can put your hat anymore. Restaurants, homes anything really. Its almost as if society is trying to prevent us from going out with hats on.
Doesn't Yahtzee wear a Fedora? He seems to make it work. So that's two people who look good wearing one.Cakes said:"Really cool movie and video game characters wear fedoras...that means a fedora will look really cool on me!!!"FalloutJack said:My full and badass beard wishes to convey some disagreement on the subject of hats somehow equating to neckbeard.
