The Best Music in a Video Game

Whether it be one song from a Video Game that you want to share or what you consider to be the best music in the video gaming industry, do tell...

I think Zelda has to have the best music in any video game as a whole. There are LOADS of games like the Final Fantasy franchise that have amazing music but the best game for music as a whole for me would have to be Zelda : Ocarina of Time.

Honestly, the first thing that came to mind was the Halo ODST soundtrack. The whole series has always had absolutely fantasic music though, but ODST might have been the highlight for me when I think about it.

I would personally say final fantasy VIII has the best music in any game ever created but that's very debatable considering the other final fantasies especially final fantasy VII which had great soundtracks too.

Most of the legend of zelda games also have superb music aswell.

That award probably goes to the Halo series as a whole (Wars doesn't count), though BioShock and several JRPG's and retro titles are up there as well.

...I don't have the TF2 theme in my 'nerdgasm' playlist... This needs to be rectified!

Hmm... The final fantasy series has always been good for music, and I like Halo's soundtrack.

Also, the various Mario themes have the ability to instantly make me happier!
