Timesplitters was always great for offline multiplayer. Difficult too if your friend insisted on being the monkey every time.
Which one? (as in which game not which monkey, but damn is the ninja monkey badass)
All have great multiplayer, but Timesplitters 2 was easily the best. I always thought that the maps were too big in 3.

Yeah but the snipers in TS2 were pretty useless in those maps.

Unreal Tournament 3
or Soul Calibur 4/Street Fighter 4
Battlefront 1/2 were pretty good.

The game I had most fun with?

Mario Kart Double Dash with the Gamecube System link up. It was amazing. 8 people playing, 2 on each kart, or 8 individuals. It was fan-fucking-tastic.

a little underappreciated gem called Mashed, on PS2. a game that can both start and destroy friendships. a game that can bring out sides of your personality that you never even knew existed. those were the days...

close second would be any one of the TimeSplitters games. as for the current generation, LittleBigPlanet and Warhawk are pretty big riots.

Timesplitters, one shot kill, with bots.
Best...offline multiplayer...ever.
Timesplitters, definitely.

Why would you NOT want to play as a ninja monkey with flamethrowers and laser cannons?

Fighters or racing games are always fun if you're more than one, but personally i find them boring as hell when I play them by myself.

Other than that, co-op is cool, i like a good round of nazi zombies.

When you say ofline does LAN parties count?

IF so DotA without doubt, but i don't think it counts since you'll have to be at least 6 people and preferably 10 for it to really be fun.
