Last night I got back from the first night out back at uni, and it was great. It reminded me of when I started last year, and my dad said to try everything that I feel like trying, at least once, unless I really disagreed with it or it just went against common sense. I did that, and although some things went nowhere, like fencing, I was always glad to have tried, and I met new people no matter what.

I even wasn't sure about going out last night. I hadn't been socially active since the end of last year, so getting back into it was a little unnerving. I just remembered what my dad said, and didn't regret it.

So, if you're going to a new place, new situation, with new people, just try everything you can.

Any advice you wish to impart on your fellow users?

Just ogt back from the first night our back at uni. Was great.

Reminded me of something my dad said in the first year. "Try everything. Don't say no, unless you really, deep down, disagree." Those wordsn ccarried me dfthroguh my furst year. I tried everything. Some things didn't work out, but I was glad to ahwve tried, and I gained plenty pof new friends just by turneing up.

I wasn't sure about going out tonight. It had been a while, and I was nerouvs. But I remembered those words, and I went, and I had fun.

So, if you're going to a enew place, new experience, new situation, new people...try everything. Everything that takes your fancy. Is there as ninh\a utrle scienty? Go join in. Is there a night out? Go join in. Unless you absiluytely disagree, try it. Trust me, you may regret some things, but theat is small compared to nnot trying at all.

Anymore good advice to impart on thy fellow suser?

Captcha: Talklnthe talk. Fuck you cpatcha, I can talk plenty good.

I'll probanly edit this at some point. To make it more readable. Just gotta get these ideas otu before they can escape, y'know?

"Watch Scorpion King 3."

A life-changing film is something that needs to be experienced, and if you take my advice, you will experience one.

Another is "Don't drink and drive," but I'm sure you knew that one.

Oh dear...

While I agree that you should always try something new when you go to new places, I think you tried one too many new things there OP.

Now, what happens when someone goes all 'pulp fiction' on someone else?

Does Samuel L. Jackson go to someone's house and says, 'SAY WHAT AGAIN!'?

I love posts like this. Evidently there's very little that you deep down disagree with haha

College/Uni (whichever one you prefer to call it) can be fun

Don't drink everything that's handed to you, especially at college. Looks like you didn't follow this advice OP ;D

A lot of good things have already been said. Here is the best pearl of wisdom I feel I can give:

There are more women in the world than men. That's intended by biology, in fact. So never, ever, EVER compromise yourself for a woman.

Edit: especially at college.

"Drug then rob/pickpocket" is apparently somewhat common as well. There was a whole string of drug-assisted robberies at my school last year.

I don't mean spiked drinks I just mean when you're new to the partying scene people tend to keep giving you drinks when you've clearly had enough because super drunk people do funny things :p

Learn to use spellcheck. That is the best advice I can give you at this time.

Serious best advice? Drink a ton of water before you sleep, it does WONDERS for mitigating hangovers. Also, never puke in a sink, it's never a good idea.

Serious serious advice? Rock and roll with the good times but don't leave common sense at the door. I've had a shit ton of fun both drunk and sober, but when you go too far it's rarely as good a time as it's made out to be. Drink sensibly, party reliably, and do think things over before you do them. You'll have a good time and will avoid a lot of nasty side effects that way.

Also according to my captcha you should talk to strangers.

I would say "Don't drink and internet" but that would deprive me of the laughter I've had at this.

Eh...I don't know, drink Irn Bru? Sorry, I just had some so that's all I could come up with. Here, I'll even help you want one by posting a picture.

You want it!
