For people who like the people, it's got that. It's a big mix of people when it comes to cultures and backgrounds.
I'm not really into the rich white people West Palm beach culture, so I pretty much hate the region I'm from.

The only real good thing is that one day it may sink back into the ocean.

When you get to leave it. Really, Leeds doesn't have much going for it.

Actually, I suppose the suburban aspect to some areas is really nice, but juxtapose that with the fact that the area I live in is the only nice area, and is therefore the 5th most robbed area of the United Kingdom. Fuck Leeds.
My cousin has just finished doing his degree in Leeds. He comes from a nice area of Surrey. Needless to say he did not have kind words for Leeds....

We do the four seasons well. Great winters with amazing skiing, snowmobiling, etc. Summers in the 90's and 100's with lakes, sand dunes, etc. And Spring and Autumn's that are a nice 60-80 degrees.

Plus we are at the base of some amazing mountains which makes for a great backdrop to the city. I complain about it all the time, but really it's a great place to live.

1) Lots of 24 hour bars and clubs.
2) A decent mix of enjoyable citizens.
3) Very close proximity to a number of fantastic outdoor recreational areas.
4) The snowboarding kills (I can't wait to shred, it's getting closer every day!)
5) Prostitution is legal in nearby counties so I have some truly hilarious clients that bring in ridiculous amounts of cash.
6) My entire family lives here.

I really love my town.

I don't blame him Mandalore. I'd personally call in the Basilisk war droids and wipe this city off the map.

[small]Also, isn't that avatar Cassus Fett rather than Mandalore?[/small]

We have an awesome judge. For example, someone called a police officer a pig - his punishment was to stand on the side of a road all day with a pig holding a sign saying "this is a pig".

Wow, I just thought I hated Leeds because I'm a city-hating country lad.

My hatred is justified!

If I didn't live in the area, Leeds would certainty not be my first choice of Uni location.

Harrogate. We guard the worldstone?
Stuck in the Victorian era?

No wait, Luigi's. Great place.

The city nearby is awesome, filled to the brink with students and house to some really cool buildings.

One of Europes oldest and best Comedy Festivals, and a great Hippiyish Music Festival. A great HIstory (we have been spanish french dutch and german, most of these several times) The Castle and Park. We are just between the big cities and the countryside, both very close.
And we are very close to the Netherlands ;) *wink wink
And in some nothern dialects our Towns name means "Ass" ^^
We have a great but small theatre, which i loved to work with and for only 125.000 inhabitants we have hell of a lot subculture going on here, which makes it very easy to grow up as a teen, just like you feel it is best for yourself, i loved that here.

I live in small town Saskatchewan. People are set in their ways, outside news is usually ignored, slow internet connections and low crime.

It has its pros and cons but it really isn't the environment I'm looking for.

*dreams of getting a filming gig somewhere*

...It's only boring in the summer?
In the winter I go skiing but when it gets warm, all there is to do is walk around and go to the pool (which I hate doing anyway)

I live in one of the cities that was really hit when the automotive sector collapsed. It used to be a halfway decent place, I won't lie. But now, stores are closing up left and right, the city council pours money into projects nobody cares about or the city can't support, and overall, the place is pretty much dying.
