Good times, good times indeed! Just because a game was serious didn't mean the devs can't have a little fun with the credits. Hell, most people skip em anyway so might as well enjoy yourselves.

Still, if you're looking for more 'serious' ending themes here's a few great ones:

Man, something must be wrong with me. I found myself humming this to myself as it played - I remembered it much more than I expected myself to.

While I think Metroid Prime, Phantasy Star, and Baldur's Gate have great themes, I figure I might as well stick something on here that people haven't played much. I doubt people would listen to it since it's just one video in a thread of like 40, but if they do, they'll find a sweet, smooth, orchestral theme that could close out the ending scene of any fine piece of media.

Streets of Rage 1 & 2 also deserve a mention.

 

[Outright Villainy]

The Wind Waker's end credits really cemented the game as something incredible to me.

I freaking love that track.

Also, the end credits of Super Mario Galaxy.
It just screams "Victory!"
