The best way to play through Metal Gear Solid 4

I have always wanted to post this on a forum and now is my chance.

"slowly, slowly, catchy monkey".

Trophy unlocked, "stupid saying".

You can Rambo it on the easy settings but on the harder ones you wont get very far. You get better rewards and emblems for it aswell.

Some of the cut scenes seem to go on for an hour, so you might want to press "start" "up" and "X" alot.

Skip the cutscenes, you won't miss much but you'll save a hell of a lot of time.

I really enjoyed the gameplay, but those cutscenes were overlong, wonky, and full of unnecessary long silences and eggs.

Ill give you that Sampsa, but it woulda been really handy to have something that shot faster in Shadow Moses where u have to defend Rex, those damn gecko kept getting next to it while I was distracted watching Raiden fight Vamp.

Woo, I had to wait and watch that fight when my friend played it, it was amazing lol, it's not fair that you have to play instead of watch...wow what a weird thing to say

I know, that has to be about the only cutscene that woulda been really cool to have as just a cutscene, but instead u have to worry about kamikaze gecko and getting the dang railgun fully charged.

In not so short ...

"It comes from the days of British colonialism when many far eastern countries were under British rule. Soldiers posted there used to try to catch monkeys to keep as pets and despite all their efforts were not very successful. Many natives spoke 'Pidgin English' which was a simplified form of English. They showed the soldiers how to do it by demonstrating a simple but effective method. This was to place a basket containing fruit in a clearing in the jungle where the monkeys lived. The basket would have a narrow opening and be tied to the ground. Monkeys would come along and stick their arms inside the basket to get at the fruit. The opening was just wide enough to allow for this but as the fruit was grasped the fist was too big to get out of the basket. The monkeys were so greedy that even when soldiers approached they would not release the fruit and thus be easily caught. Naturally this took patience on the part of the captor who would have to wait quietly until the monkey was snared. Thus the slow approach proved to be more effective"

Ok, since no one has answered this question, ill ask it again: How do I keep all my weapons and still be able to play through the game on a harder difficulty? Or do i just have to start over and get them again?

Ok, thanx. And i tried the whole sneak by everyone without anyone noticing, but i just ended up getting shot by both the pmcs adn the rebels, so i shot up the pmcs in front of the rebels, and then i had allies.

It makes it a bit easier when you dont have to worry about getting killed by everyone you run into.

I play stealthy, but I keep a machine gun or assault rifle handy just in case.
