I remember always loving nintendo as a kid.Their fun, awesome games always braught me joy!The N64 was my favorite and the gamecube was OKAY.But the nintendo has completely betrayed its core fans.I couldnt wait to get my wii, i spent all my christmas money just to buy 1 for 400$ off ebay cuz they were sold out.At first it seemed cool, i anxiously awaited titles like super mario galaxies, legend of zelda:twilight princess, and ESPECIALL super smash bros brawl. But after those games had come and i beat them all and achieved all their glories, i find myself bored of my wii.I watch g4 and read my game informers hoping that they will announce some huge new mario or zelda game to kick all ass.

But they dont.I relized they dont care about their core gamers anymore.Once they found out they can become rich by marketing crappy graphic games where the objective is usually to flail ur wiimote around like a monkey and has no storyline or point to it, they threw us to the side. All we see now is wii____ or wii_____ or wii sports 2!!!I wanna see Mario____ or zelda______!!!

IM DONE NINTENDO!!!

To be honest, after seeing the trailer for the new Zelda and playing some of Phantom Hourglass, I think it's safe to say that Zelda is finished. They've simply run out of ideas, and there's nowhere else to take the series, because it's restricted in very safe confines.

Same goes for a lot of other things. Oh well, empires rise and fall.

You have not played enough games. There were many releases this year, many more coming out, and they are heaps of fun to play. You also need to let go of your high-horse and look at games that are not directly made by Nintendo. There are many second and third-party games that, if your only list of games was the one written above, you have not even tried yet.

The honest difference between members of this generation and members of the last few is that no one has the balls anymore to stick their neck out and try games they have never heard of before. Instead, everyone at a certain game-age are too busy blurting out, "I played the games I already knew about, there are no others!"

Somewhere in Kyoto, Japan, Satoru Iwata is mourning over the sudden loss of iammatt95 and trying to get his developers in gear.

Now that they're done spewing complete garbage for games, it looks like they'll finally start releasing some fun games soon. Hang in there.

I know. It's sad, but we must let Nintendo go. They have lost their way, and are too far beyond redemption. Let them go, Matt. Let them go.

By the way, you have the same name as me.

I still like them but things just aren't as magical as when I was a kid.
Though I get a kick out of watching my little cousin play Mario Galaxy, he is ENTRANCED by it! Reminds me of me!

I felt the same way a while ago mate, and now I've converted to always playing XBox 360 and leaving my Wii in the dust. I love Nintendo and Zelda, but unless they reveal a new Wii Zelda that looks amazing, they'll lose more fans. It sucks, but.. Like they care.

You guys shouldn't be surprised. Nintendo is notorious for refusing to make their games original anymore. Originality is to Nintendo what holy water is to zombies.

In other words the moneymilker virus has infected Nintendo so badly they are void of originality and now persist in milking their franchises in addition to persistently using gimmicks and Wiimote-flailing jazz just to sell. That and they can't be assed to upgrade the Wii thus giving it inferior games.

Never fear, they'll be more pre-teens, middle-aged mums and geriatrics to take your place to line Nintendo's pockets.

I like their passion to innovate the way people game but I don't like their apparent disregard for the fans that have been there from day dot.

Yeah yeah yeah. I said Nintendo betrayed us way before you did but it's not going to last, it's just a faze. Basically, they just hired a bunch of retards to make their games this time and hopefully most of us have learned from their mistakes. If they ever make a new Smash Bros we will let them know what we want and force feed our opinions whether they like it or not!

I recommend you play Mario Galaxy so you get some use out of your Wii for now.

You will find most people don't care on the escapist because many aren't fans and will give you smart ass reply's. Also use some capitals and spacing after the full stop mate because you could go on probabtion!

How bout Metroid prime: corruption? No more heroes? Madworld?

You've got the standart nintendo lineup of mario, marikart, smash, zelda and metroid, and more mario stuff (mario party etc.) they've been released a long time ago already.

Nintendo is (in)famous for releasing sequels/new versions of theire core games for every console, and has done so for the wii as well, i think most games that you find for both the N64 and GC has already had a wii game added as well. Some people love it (i love LoZ and mario) and some people think they're overdoing it

There's also coming new releases and new IP's like no more heroes and madworld for the wii, so if you want new and interesting stuff, it's there.

I honestly don't see what you're whining about, except for the fact that like everything else, there's 9 bad games for every 1 good game which is the same for other consoles, music, movies, politicians and everything else.
Unless you want them to ONLY do new versions os zelda, mario and smash over and over again ofc.

Matt 95, eh? That'll be your birth year?

For someone with a few more miles on the clock, I often find it hard to believe that today's fourteen-year-olds were born in 1995.

Interesting side note: when people talk about the nintendo of old, the real glory days; they're talking about stuff that happened before you were born.

Chrono Trigger came out in 1995, ffs.

Hardly, when I talk about Nintendo of old, I'm mean back in 1890 when they produced card games.
