Yeah, games need better music. Music is really important in games. A lot more than most people realise. And orchestrated music =/= good music! So often it's just forgettable and pointless. We need more music with strong memorable melodies that really cement the mood and tone of the game! Think about how many of your favourite games have awesome catchy themes to them. It really plays a big part.
And the South Park game isn't primarily a platformer. That's the first footage I've seen of it but I've read a fair bit on it and it's pretty clear it's supposed to be an RPG.
And a controller for the iPhone already exists. It looks a bit unwieldy if you ask me, since it doesn't look particularly portable, but it's out there. Plus I can't see it being be compatible with very many games. Take a look:
