Everyone has to have been let down by a game in their life time. Maybe once, maybe twice.

Mine personally, was Fable 2. After playing Fable 1 and saying "wow, this is a pretty good RPG" I started thinking about what they could improve on. Then when trailers and gameplay footage's starting to come out, I was like "HELL YES!" it looked like everything I hoped for. I bought it the first day it came out, and started playing it right when I got home. I very soon discovered that It was the same as Fable 1, only sucked more. The story only took me 6 hrs to beat, and since all the money you would need to get the better weapons barely come from the quests anymore, and the Arena gives you half as much money as the first one, I had to rely on the jobs, which became boring, really fast, And there is no variety in the Job mini games, it is all the same controls. wait for the arrow to hit the green, press A, wait for the arrow to hit the green, hit A. But the biggest let down of them all, was I killed everyone in the game, just by using my lvl 5 lightning.

Any way, my Paragraph got waaay to long, so now, what was the biggest video game let down, of your life.

I don't wanna hear "search bar" because my computer froze the last time I used it

For me it was probably LOZ: Windwaker. I was so dissapointed at the more cartoonish direction that they went with the game. Now, however, I think the game is amazing and I love the art style.

Spore. It looked so insanely awesome from the clips of gameplay and stuff years before it came out. What the hell happened?

Half-Life 2: Episode 2.

Okay I'm kidding. Spore is still the most disappointing game I have ever played.

Far Cry 2

I was expecting Fallout 3 meets GTA in Africa.

I got... lots of endless driving.

Elaborate on your posts please good sir. This also goes for all those other game title only answers.

The biggest disappointment for me is the continued lack of a sequel for Jet Force Gemini, but if it has to be a real game, then I will go with every Mario kart since 64, with the exception of DS. I want one where every vehicle is viable, items aren't completely crazy, and the tracks are actually fun to race with great repetition.

Oblivion, I'd say. I could never start enjoying it, not that I really tried a lot. But I honestly don't think I should have to put a lot of effort into a game just so I can start to enjoy it.

As a second I'd say MW2, but that wasn't really surprising.

Borderlands. After spending so much time on the forums and listening to all the lies (didn't know they were lies at the time) the game was a serious letdown.

Assassin's Creed 2.

It's the same as the first only easier and with new bells and whistles. And a pansy for a protagonist.

Final Fantasy XII (and Final Fantasy XIII, if watching trailers and gameplay videos counts).

FINAL FANTASY X.

Without any shadow of a doubt whatsoever. I PREFERRED VIII. By a long, long way.

I've said it many times and I will say it again: Haze. I was expecting a great PS3 exclusive shooter that could compete with Halo. What I got was a game that was half finished and half assed. Turning Point: Fall of Liberty was very bad, but I didn't have as nearly as high expectations as I did for Haze. Worst use of $60 in my life. Someone should have been fired over that piece of crap. Damn you Haze!

I sort of agree, it wasnt as good as i hoped but i still enjoyed it... but yeh it would have been better if they had stuck with "science" spore instead of "cartoon spore". They just dummed it down to get a bigger audience and thus, more money :(
