Yup, Fable 2, wasn't a bad game, but I was hyped to breaking point, literally counting the days for months, and then I was like, oh. Damn you MOLYNEUUUUUX....

Modern Warfare 2

MW1 was overrated but good, and going into MW2 I expected there to be, I don't know, a longer fucking story considering that a short campaign was the main criticism with the original.

Mario Kart Double Dash, how dare they get rid of block fort.
Is that really the only reason you hated Mario Kart Double Dash?

I do think that Block Fort on the N64 was fun, but the Pipe Plaza and Haunted Mansion made up for that.

Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness. I was so psyched, I bought it and played it. It was pretty nice, then I got a few to many game overs. Then I realized it's taking fire emblem, adding 5x the grind of only 1 character, adding a bunch more bullshit then finally defecating over the entire SRPG genre.

Pikmin. It was not worth the rental cost.
Oh, I'd have to disagree with that one. I personally loved the game, but we all have our own opinions.

Halo 3 ODST I was expecting to be able to go on matchmaking on firefight that would have been fun but found out it was custom games only and the fact that they took out the battle rifle and regular plasma rifle. I hated the brute plasma rifle in Halo 2 it overheated too quickly. -.-

Dawn of War 2.

I played the first game to death, and played quite a bit of company of heroes. What I expected was the lunacy of Warhammer 40k with the 'upgrades' COH made to Relic's usual rts formula. What I got was controlling 20 guys at best running around the map desperately hunting for the other dude's 20 guys as we lead each other on a merry chase of capturing points, because it's not like we could make static defenses.

At least I knew from the start soulstorm would be terrible. DOW2 looked so cool.

Fallout - I'm still playing through this, the game really shocked me, I kinda didn't know what to expect. (If anyone would guide me to some good tips/manual of the game i'd be very much obliged)
Go to www.fallout3nexus.com create account, download mods and install them and play the game! The right mods can make one helluva difference I can tell you! Playing on console? Though luck! In the vanilla version I rolled a good sneak caracter and owned everything in my path exept for robots and deathclaws which took a little more effort to succesfully kill. And what do you mean by "shocked me"?

OT: Spore, I had high hopes for it after watching some cool vids but the actual game sucked. I was hoping you would have to change your creatures appearence to adapt. But I got two stages of the evolution chart where I could change my creatures abilities and appereance. The Tribal, civilisation and space stage was dreadfully boring! The cell and creature stage was fun though.

I notice that hype is perhaps the biggest let down of all. Do like me: Know there will be a game that might be cool coming out soon, perhaps check a vid or two, check the release date and leave the site. That way I stay away from any hype as I just ignore it :)

Neverwinter Nights 2.

I really liked the original, one of my all time favourite games, but the second one had such horrible controls. I don't understand how they managed to make the gameplay feel so much worse, but they did. Couple that with having to start from the beginning again because of bugs on a couple of occasions and you get the only game I've never bothered finishing. Actually, I tell a lie, I didn't finish KOTOR and Dragon Age: Online for exactly the same reasons. I should just stop buying Bioware RPG's.

Dawn of War II was also a disappointment. The single player game was fun, but there wasn't much replay value and I hated multiplayer.

Spore, Fable 2, Far Cry 2, Dead Space, Alone in the Dark, Prototype. All of these let me down equally, I don't remember which one was the worst.

Spore, definitely. Cell stage is fun. Creature stage is tons of fun. tribal...eh. civilization...eh. SPACE? not fun at all for me.

MW2, definitely. I had friends tell me how awesome it was and they were up all night the day it came out, hell one of em even skipped school to play it. I get it, expecting the best, and it was just like playing the first one. again. and again. and again. so many ways they could have made it better. and wtf. the most AWESOME and AWE INSPIRING part of the first one was that single nuke! they figure "hey that was cool, lets do it some more!" and FFFFFFF YOU CAN GET NUKES IN MULTIPLAYER!

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. at first i was expecting to be Banjo who drove around and flew around with no help at all from Kazooie. then i changed my mind when i listened to some people talk about it. then i changed my mind again when i played it. She's almost completely useless. Poor Kazooie. it looks great, it plays well, i just wish they wouldve used this concept for a different duo.

Borderlands. After spending so much time on the forums and listening to all the lies (didn't know they were lies at the time) the game was a serious letdown.
How was it a let down? Plus what lies?

My worst let down from a game?
Final.
Fantasy.
VII.

They promised so much but gave so little; they said there were going to be two different types of cars and thousands of customizations for them. plus the story wasn't very good.
There are two different Turrets for the cars; A railgun and a RPG.

And it was the characters who we were promised would have thousands of customization, Which they do.
