Devil May Cry 2. It was most disappointing
I was just going to say the same, but with the new DmC coming out it makes 2 look better. Still not good, but better.

Probably Valkyria Chronicles 2.

While I still think it's a good game overall, I felt that it strayed a little too far from what made the original so great.

For starters, IT'S ON THE PSP. Where as the original was on the PS3. Next, most of the main characters are annoying and the story and setting aren't nearly as interesting or engaging as the original in my opinion.

But probably the one thing I hated most about the game was the credits system. In order for your troops to upgrade to different classes, you have to have a certain amount of certain credits for each and every one. In order to get these, you have to grind and farm in specific levels with these specific characters until you get what you need. And whether you get them or not is random. So half the time, you won't even get them, which is especially frustrating.

This kind of destroys the purpose of the series's leveling system which makes it so that you level up characters by class rather than individually. Which prevents the need for excess grinding.

Other than that though, the game is good.

I'm not sure about Valkyria Chronicles 3 as that game hasn't been released here in America.

That might be Star Fox Adventures, but only in the 'I find this to be the least appealing in the francise' way.

The Zelda-style Gameplay was still sort of fun, but it did get frustrating in some areas and because you're using a magic staff and a dino sidekick instead of badass sci-fu merc equipment, it simply didn't do much to feel like a Starfox game. It's essentially Legend of Zelda: Furry edition.

At least Nintendo did everything right with Starfox Assault.

Deus Ex: Invisible Wa *gets slapped*..... Never mind....

I would probably go with Fallout 3. Although I have a huge respect for Bethesda, they successfully managed to destroy almost everything what made Fallouts so good.

Bioshock 2. I still love the game, but it was just unnecessary. They really should have gone with a different setting.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty/Substance.

I cannot understand the hatred of this game, just because Raiden is the main character in the game and he's got emotions, and he's not Solid Snake, we should be pissed about it?

It's as integral a game as the original Metal Gear Solid, and it makes Metal Gear Solid 4 better for it, I think.

The plot does feel disheveled, but so what? It's still fun to play, and if nothing else, when you replay it a few more times, you can decipher the story, and it's actually relavent to today's world, if nothing else.
this right here

after a bunch of things I've seen, it seems like people don't really get that Raiden isn't the main character, he's the playable character
he tells the story, but it's not about him

and also, a lot of folks say that Raiden is quite the *****, but I think he's more human than Snake, the goatee sporting, bandanna wearing, cigarette smoking, macho-as-fuck clone super soldier

Dawn of War Soulstorm, I don't understand how they managed to fuck it up, come on there are dark eldar and sisters of battle there, sisters of fucking battle.
Are you serious? SS was probably the best for multiplayer around. Now, I do have to say that I much prefered the Dawn of War and Winter Assault Campaigns and Dark Crusade had a nice idea that Soulstorm affected a bit too much, but it revived the multiplayer. That said, Dark Eldar and Sisters of Battle aren't that crash hot.

OT: Halo 3: ODST, BioShock 2, Pokemon: Black and White Versions, Assasin's Creed 2. The list of disappointments for me grows on as I keep thinking about it, some games don't even need sequels, they should remain the single game :p

Edit: Also Age of Empires III. What they had with Age of Empires II: Age of Kings, Age of Conquerors Expansion was so good. Then they must have thought 'oh, how can we ruin a series?'

First of all how could Soulstorm affect Dark Crusade, it came after Dark Crusade? Or did I get something wrong? Also campaign is pretty much the only thing I care about, because against AI it's pointless as AI cheats like hell, I know I know AI usually does cheat in RTS games to get some edge and to provide chalange, but it was so noticable in Dark Crusade and Soulstorm that I just didn't want to play it anymore as for the multiplayer, the community was small and it was hard as hell to find a game, and humans also cheated, several times I played against human players beeing super strong or them having top tear units in the matter of seconds, once I had a fully restored monolith in my base within one minute, so yeah. As for the Soulstorm campaign, it was fucking weak, and the sisters of battle, if you don't find them to be hot then I think you should pick up a new hobby, like collecting stamps =) (notice the smiley face)

Sorry, what I meant to say was that the Soulstorm campaign didn't really bring anything new to the table, it was kind of just a larger version of the DC campaign, some miswording on my part there. And cheating can ruin all games, can't it? Soulstorm can't cop all the crap for having cheaters... :p

Legend of Zelda 2. For being the ONLY one which has NO MAPS, and the dungeon layouts SUCK.
Doom 3, which "tripped on something in the dark, bumped its head and forgot it wasn't" some darkness-based mess.
Painkiller's third installment, because it crashes every time you try to fire shurikens OR lightning.
And in the realm of games I have NOT played, Other M probably fits this bill too.

Fucking Majora's Mask.

God, how I hate that game. All the other Zelda games are great, except for that one. Stupid timer.

"Finally, I'm about to reach the end of this godforsaken dungeon."
LOL, THIRD DAY

That. They fucked up my Necrons too with the stupid flying bugs :(
But the thing that pisses me off the most about it, is that most of the mods come out to it and not the previous one.

Sonic '06. Need I say more? There were a few bad ones before that (Sonic R, Sonic Shuffle, a couple Game Gear outings), but '06 still takes the stale cake. Only now, 5 years later, are people really starting to forgive Sonic for that abomination and give his games a chance again. But it's not like Unleashed and Black Knight were much better, though (but I did hear good things about Unleashed's daytime levels). However, everything after Black Knight has been a step forward, and that's a good sign for the blue blur.

What I love about Dawn of War II is a little conversation that takes place between some of the Blood Ravens about the Soulstorm campaign. I believe it was the Scout Sergeant Cyrus who said "Kaurava was a mistake. I will not speak of it again." It's like watching the devs shyly muttering "sowwy".

OT: Have to say Age of Empires 3. The first two games had always had some lol-worthy funny stuff that would occasionally turn up, supernatural stuff and what have you, but AoE3 put that in the foreground. Worst part though, THE MAP EDITOR IS CRAP!!!! I was kind of hoping for a sequel that would be based in Europe, but I guess Ensemble Studios had to impress its American fans...ah well.

Exactly.
