hm yeah i love Blazblue, its the first fighting game iv really properly gotten into mastering. It is broke as shit though, but in a weirdly balanced way tho, every character has something completely broken about them but it all balances out somehow.

I main Nu, i've gotten sick of people complaining about her being cheap. Yeah she is broke as fuck, but still very beatable if you know what your doing. Still I sub on Hakumen just to beat down on people who complain about Nu.

I had a lot of fun with that game, I'm not the best player out there, my friends don't want to play it because of the learning curve, and I can't play it online (no gold account)... so as much I want to play it, i'll just end up being defeated baldy by the computer.... if only I could stick with one character, but no, I have to hesitate mostly around 3 for whihc I should main.

They got one for the arcades if I'm not mistaken

well as I said, I hesitate around mostly 3 characters, being Tager, Bang and Ragna

I've found the online to be glitchy and unpleasant (getting into a game that is, once I finally get into a match the game runs perfectly) but otherwise the game is excellent.

It's actually quite superbly balanced (with a couple of notable exceptions) and most characters are viable (with the single glaring exception of my sub Tager, who is fucking worthless against anyone with even a rudimentary knowledge of the game).

Don't get me wrong I love Tager. There's nothing quite like catching an techning opponent out of the air with a collider but damn, playing against a decent Nu or Arakune is nightmarish.

okay i'll grant playing against a decent Nu is really hard and Arakune is not much better. Only thing to do in those situations is hit them with your high priority ranged and do your best combo since they have low defense

It's really fun for a fighter. But there isn't too much story to it. I mean, I saw the opening cutscene in the story and by the end I was so confused. I mean, wtf is going on with the story anyway? It does have a good story for a fighter, but for once, just once, I'd like to see a fighter that rivals stories such as Halo, or Final Fantasy, or Fire Emblem.

Edit: And I usually fight as Jin or Ragna, but I haven't played much of the game yet so who knows?

His high priority ranged attack that takes time to charge?

Nu is a hard opponent as Tager but if you time it well you can sledge through a lot of her spammy bullshit and lay the smack down. If you get cursed by Aracune however then it's game fucking over. Tager's absurdly huge hitbox makes him bug bait.

So what you're saying is you'd like to see a fighter with an even worse story than usual?

When Tager Charges for his spark bolt (or whatever it was called) he cant be damaged in the mid and top sections. Time that with their mid and high attack and it is quite easy to counter with a spark bolt

I main nu myself and a good Tager can be a really tough battle. I consider myself to be a halfway decent player, but Nu vs Tager cannot afford any mistakes. besides Nu's lack of health and Tagers ridiculous dmg potential, there is just dumb shit tager can do, like baiting an act parser into a 360B or 720C, or a well timed sparkbolt into a 4000+ combo and a 720 tech trap... Now I aint saying its easy, but The vast majority of high ranked players on PSN play tager. Either way he's not nearly as bad as Hakumen who unless you know how to use him with surgical precision is worthless. One piece of advice i can give you against nu is not to be predicatble with atomic sledge. It's nice for the projectile invul, but so very very punishable.

The vast majority of high ranked players on PSN play Tager? That honestly doesn't seem right to me. Generall consensus seems to be that he's the lowest tier character in the game followed by Bang and then Hakumen.
But anyway what's your PSN Pirate? I'm fairly scrubby but it's always nice to play against someone who isn't a complete mouth breather.

I just gave Continium Shift a try. They've crippled Rachel, nerfed Hakumen and made Mu (or whatever) even better.

BlazBlue is an amazing fighter and I will be drooling over the sequel in July. Apparently Gamestop.com says it will be $40 :/

I find the game to be awesome. Too bad only Japanese people play it online. Seriously, they're too damn good.

It's really fun but bad if you're trying to show your friend.

I just ended up being 10x better than any contenders.

Still, I'm trying to do Score Attack with my favourite character and I'm failing badly.
Who is that?
OT: I got it on Sunday, and it's awesome, I'm not very good, so I guess I need to get better.

I can't remember her name, I think it's Noel.

My PS3 broke, sadly.

It's a great game with some...interesting things going on. The story is completely insane and contrived like nobody's business, so I have no idea what actually happened or whatever. The gampeplay is fun and all of the characters are completely broken in one way or another, so you can choose anyone and still manage to not be a total disadvantage for the most part based on who you picked alone. The artwork is nice, the colors are pretty, and it's really fun.

Keep in mind I was playing with a keyboard not a fightstick, but the frog is completely different, it just fucking glomps it's way across the screen like a blob. You can blow it with wind but I sure as shit don't need any more combos that eat up my wind bar.
