It's really fun but bad if you're trying to show your friend.

I just ended up being 10x better than any contenders.

Still, I'm trying to do Score Attack with my favourite character and I'm failing badly.
Who is that?
OT: I got it on Sunday, and it's awesome, I'm not very good, so I guess I need to get better.
I can't remember her name, I think it's Noel.

My PS3 broke, sadly.
When? She's the one with the guns. I love the irony that in my experience, PS3s break more than xboxs

I just gave Continium Shift a try. They've crippled Rachel, nerfed Hakumen and made Mu (or whatever) even better.

They crippled my main!?!?
Keep in mind I was playing with a keyboard not a fightstick, but the frog is completely different, it just fucking glomps it's way across the screen like a blob. You can blow it with wind but I sure as shit don't need any more combos that eat up my wind bar.

Did you just draw that?

Hah. No. Someone on Dustloop did it when the first tests of CS came in. It's fucking true though.

Edit: I made a typo there. They nerfed Aracune (the only character who needed nerfing in my opinion) fuck knows what they've done with Hakumen. He probably needs a meter to charge his meter now.

I generally dislike conventional fighting games (i.e Street Fighter), but I love Blazblue and its oozing style, along with the fact that I could actually get the hang of a fighter for once.

On a more perverse note, Noel confirms my fetish for cute girls in somewhat poofy hats or berets.
Same here. But I also find that's there's no fetish of mine, or just any conventional anime fetish in general, which is left unserved with the Blazblue girls :B

I had my Xbox for 2 weeks, it broke twice.

Yes, Noel is my favourite. It broke about an hour ago. It will have to be fixed or replaced. I hope not replaced because I have so many Final Fantasy saves on there. Losing a Final Fantasy save is like losing your virginity to a horse. IT'S FUCKING PAINFUL!

uhm yeah rachel got nerfed, she no longer to 5-7000 dmg combos, she still has the best tech traps and set ups out of all the characters and the infinite utility of wind. Hakumen is now god tier in CS, he's faster, has a new godly poke and counters have longer activation frames. lamda -11 (nu-13's replacement) is nerfed to all hell from Nu, gone from 4-7500 dmg combos to 2-4500 dmg, she is also slower and can't lock you down at range any more like Nu can. She does however have more combo setups and more versatility in what combos she can use, so basically D spam is out and she now has more than 3 useful combos. By the way Myu -12 is the new character coming on the console release, so far there has only been a 1sec clip of game play footage released, and the general consensus is "Dat Ass!"

Hehehe, I've never been a JRPG fan, but I do feel kind of sorry for you. I hope it does get repaired, so you don't have to replay it. Good luck getting it repaired.

I'm loving it at the moment. The story is surprisingly well done, for a fighting game anyway. For me the controls took a while to get used to, as the fighting genre isn't exactly second nature to me but once I got a hold of them, I was pulling off 20 hit combo's no problem. Thanks in part to Noels huge gun special attack. I haven't tried the online mode but from what I've heard it sounds pretty good.

One of my favorite parts so far is the 'Teach Me Boobie Lady' skits. If anyone hasn't seen them then here's the first one

Many would argue that Lichi is a fetish fuel station attendant [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FetishFuelStationAttendant], but she doesn't do it for me, partly because Noel's blue skirt is much cooler looking and I don't like glasses.

As for the hat thing, I also realized that with RE's Jill.

...hooray, I derailed a thread with my personal turn-ons!

Can someone tell me if the PSP version is, at lest, as good as the consoles?
Yes, yes it is. It's pretty much a carbon copy, frame by frame, hitbox by hitbox of the console version. It pretty much just underwent a graphical and sound downgrade (it IS a PSP game though) but still looks and sounds great. Some added features to the PSP version include:
-All characters now have Unlimited versions
-Legion mode, sort of like a conquest type game mixed with survival mode.
-You now earn points to unlock the uncrackables in the shop instead of doing actions to unlock them.
-This version doesn't have the battle replay mode or infrastructure (online). It only has basic ad hoc but meh.
-You use the D-pad for directional inputs and the analog nub is where you can map quick specials and whatnot. The D-pad on the PSP works really well for this. If you've played the console version you can pretty much pick this up and play it without any need to "adapt"

Yea..I think that's everything. If you don't have the console version this version is GREAT because it's portable. So yea it's the console version just with a few added touches to it.

What? NO! I love Arakune xD he's amazing to play with friends, 'cus a few simple combos can totally shut people down while I cackle crazily and randomly yell "Oh my God, BEEEEEEES!"

Even more sad that Rachel has been changed around, especially how George is now... I wasn't good by any means, but I had fun playing her every now and again. I want to try out the new characters though - Arakune was the only one I really took an immediate liking to...

Thanks for the information. I don't know if I'll download it or buy it at retail yet, but I will get this game.

I love blazblue. And the last fighting game I played was soul calibur 2.

I just like everything about it, its fun and stylish. I have yet to beat score attack mode, and sadly because of school I vad to cut down on a my gaming quite a bit and I no longer can play online.

My main when I did play was Tao. She's so much fun! I was also getting into Rachel before I quit
