Alex walked on behind Dan and took the liberty to answer the question for him.

"who knows, maybe you like toying with people." he went on for a moment before calling back, "oh, I saw some of your work on the way here, you're not very good at faking wounds, might want to work on it." he flashed a brief smile before heading up a nearby fire escape, high ground gives the hunter the advantage.

"Probably. You whistled after I stabbed you. If you don't comply, i'll have to make you. That wasn't a threat, but I have made my mind up for good this time. I don't want you hanging around just so you can hurt me. It's nasty of you. I think you've already been cold enough as it is."
I don't want her to leave, but it'll just be easier.

Bridget was about to answer Alex when she saw he had gone somewhere.
I thought they looked good...
She instead turned to Dan and tried to look mad.
"I don't care if you want me around. I'm sticking around and that's final"

"Then what I said has officially turned into a threat." Dan said not meaning, but it wasn't obviouse.
I will make her leave. I'm not letting her hurt me any more.
"I'm not letting you hurt me any more."

Bridget pouted.
He's already stabbed me before...the only things he can do is leave me for dead or kill me...but Henry'll stop him if he tries anything...I think
"Doesn't matter" she said before moving a couple steps away from Dan and looking towards Alex.
"Sorry for the arguments. So...what's your name?" she asked politely, hoping Dan would stop threatening her if his companion becomes her friend.

"For fuck's sake Bridget, I love you and all you're doing is hurting me! I can't take it. It's fucking mean!"

He stopped and turned to her, looking into her eyes.

What do I reply to that? I'm hurting him because I went to see Henry a couple times? I'm hurting him because I want to stay now?
She just quietly said sorry and hoped that was enough before turning back to Alex, with tears in her eyes.

"Don't cry Bridget, you know what you're doing. Please, it's just too painfull to see the girl I love flirt with everyone she meets. Why can't you understand?"

Alex looked down for his new position on the roof, he studied her for a moment, but she didn't give anything away, nothing real at least.

"huh, you're good at hiding your intentions, i wonder what you want, a way to tag along with the boy perhaps? well you won't find it with me, you're nothing but a little girl, you may have been taught some skills, but that doesn't matter to me, your charm only affects the foolish, and i am far from that." he turned and set off towards Big Ben, stopping only to wait for Dan to catch up.

She turned with rage in her eyes, ready to scream and not caring about anything else.
Shit calm down!
"Does it look like I was flirting? I was asking him his name!" she screamed at Dan before she ran out of breath and started to cry again.
He's ruining my concetration
She ran towards Alex and stopped as he waited for Dan.
"Look, I'm not only a little girl. I'm a skilled cheetah" she proclaimed without thinking of what she was saying

"I didn't mean Alex! He's fucking mad!" Dan screamed back, "You can't be a cheetah! Not really!"

Bridget whipped around to Dan.
"My father taught me the ways of the cheet-WOAH" she started to say before slipping on something she stepped on. As she caught herself on the ground she quickly grabbed it and went to rip it but saw it was some sort of news article.
More Murders in London
She stared at it for a few seconds before stuffing into her pocket for bedtime reading.

"It doesn't mean you're a cheetah. Look Bridget, I can't stay with you. And since Big ben was my idea, please leave."
Why won't she just leave?!

Alex laughed, a cheetah, she was barely a kitten.

"okay." he made his way down to the ground one more time and produced his blade whip, he gave her a malicious look. "maybe you need to be tamed, a no is a no and I'm pretty sure that your small sword wouldn't put up much of a fight, you're nothing but a problem for the boy and we can't have that, if he is indeed to be a predator, we can't have his judgement clouded by you."

Bridget unsheathed her sword and watched Alex.
"Well, are you ready to die?" she asked, going over any tactics she could use that might help.
Even if he kills me, I'll still win.

Dan glanced at Alex.
Should I stop him?
"Alex don't." Dan said, "I love her. I don't want her dead, just not with me. IT's too painfull to have her around."

 

[Meta_Trooper]

"oh I won't kill her, just teach her how to fight, properly." Alex didn't wait for confirmation, 3 needles flew through the air, aimed at several points on her sword arm, if they hit they'd paralyse it for a few hours, but of course things don't always go to plan, he stepped forward and the whip uncoiled, his movements were unreadable, he could go in any direction at any point, the whip lashed out and the tip coiled around the sword, locking with another blade further down the whip it gripped the sword blade tightly.

"lesson 1, fighting against a greater foe." he spun backward, the whip pulling at the sword with great force, right out of the Bridget's hand.

Bridget stepped back, the sword out of her hand. She looked around and saw nothing so she ran at Alex, faking a move to the right and then going left and diving towards Dan. As she stood up and turned, she saw she had closed some distance and waited for her next lesson.
Greater foe?

Alex ignored her movement.

"to begin, you issue your challenge when you're poorly equipped, you have the training, but not the experience." he flicked the whip up in the air and the tip unlocked, he caught the sword as it fell without a second thought. "now tell me, what can you do? you have multiple choices of weapons to acquire from your friends, but would you make it in time? the grazes on your arm tell me you barely dodged the needles, and next time i might not be so kind as to throw so few." he stepped closer to Bridget and bent down slightly to her level, looking her directly in the eyes.

"you are still a child, and a child of the curse that was human society, one with some training granted, but a child of it none the less, you're in the wilderness girl, you would do well to identify your predators." Alex glanced at the paper in her pocket and smiled, "have a good read." he said before turning and walking away, throwing the sword into a nearby bin, "study up before we meet next, then we'll continue with the next lesson." he called back before disappearing around the corner, she had promise, but was still too young.

"we'd best get there soon boy, the night is coming and some of the greater beasts arise in the dark." Alex called from the street.
