As much as I love Bioshock I have to say the Big Daddy's are pretty cheap. I don't understand how they make you go into slow motion by doing nothing.
I don't get this one, they never seemed to slow me down much. But then again I was very careful when I went hunting them and mostly did it using heavy weapons. They usually just meant I'd have to backtrack for some healing or that I'd use up a ton of the rarer/more powerful ammo.
I actually found them to be quite easy to end, never taking up more than a couple shot gun shells or grenades.

And ot, Prototype, final boss. Fuck him.

I'd have to say the guy at the end of Mega Man X. Save state every time I hit him without taking damage.

2nd place is Yunalesca from FFX, damn your megadeath! the only defense is zombie?!?

Devil May Cry 3, Heaven or Hell mode - Every boss in the damn game.
To Super Dante or not to Super Dante...

I hate any boss that give you little space, little reaction time, overpowered 1-hit killer moves, you get low ammo/power/whatever etc. and they have THOUSANDS of vitality.

The Bouncers are actually doing a tremor stomp which blurs vision and makes you go slow motion due to the earthquake-like effect.

Any boss in IWBTG, but then again it's never fair to use that game in a discussion like this.

Kangaxx and Beholders are really cheap in BG2 unless you use a cheap trick yourself. Without the Shield of Balduran to protect you, Beholder groups kill you so fast you don't have time to even cross the room and get to them - and Kangaxx has huge resistance to all damage, has a lich first form which has all the usual nasties like Time Stop and Horrid Wilting to screw your party over from the start, and then when his second form starts he does a party-wide instant death spell (which is easy to resist, but can randomly kill a few of your characters if not protected) and then starts spamming Imprisonment, a permanent (barring Freedom scrolls) irresistable instant-death spell. So, if you don't do anything cheap, he'll sit there nigh-on-indestructible and will unavoidably wipe out your party one member at a time.
If you use an Improved Mace of Disruption to instantly kill him or a protection from magic or undead scroll to render his only attack useless, however... This is almost the only way to beat him.

Darth Vader at the end of Force Unleashed. After you knock his helmet off and decide to take the bad ending, he gets two of the cheapest attacks I have ever seen.

1: ANY time you jump (which if you haven't played Force Unleashed is one of the prime strategies) he grabs you with the force and slams you against the wall for a lot of damage if you don't beat a near impossible mini-game.

2: The straight across swing that he can do whenever he wants (even if you're hitting him) that instantly breaks any combo you have going.

I hate Vader so much.

Hmm, if it's relevant I just stopped playing Lost Odyssey because the very first boss hit every character of mine for just about all their hp every single round.

Bullshit.

The ATAC in Killzone 2.

1 small pillar in the middle of the area for cover, while the ATAC is a fast flying attack drone that flies around the area really, really fast constantly shooting miniguns and rockets at you.

Fuck you ATAC.

Branka and her Golems in Dragon Age Origins.

This one is kind of my fault, because I went in with no mage, and few healing items... but when I can't even get her to half health on easy, yeah, fuck you Branka.

All my autosaves were right before I faught her, so I could't reload.

I had to use one of my manual saves that was right before I had to fight the Broodmother. So I had to fight that thing and go through the gauntlet all over again just so I could get Wynne in my party and finally beat that *****.
you knw u couldve just jumped to the lower level with....lots of cover...... ammo.......and a way easer chance at killing that fucker

the 2 flaming giant armadillos from ninja gaiden II. I thought the other bosses were cheap, and when I faced 1 armadillo in a snowy mountain it was hard enough, after 7 tries i killed it but then it exploded with the force of a nuke (apperantly i had to block) and i died. After 4 more tries and a few more levels cleared they present 2 armadillo, this time in a volcano. It would not have been so bad if these 2 guys started to glow bright red and fire off a rain of meteors from their shells. So between the explosions, the red glowing lava, and the really big armadillos, i had no visibility.

Eh.. I've brought this up many times but it's cheap. Usually in every Castlevania game, they have one boss where if you aren't carrying an item you get by backtracking insanly well, or at the beginning and it's virtually useless. If you don't, the game just game over's you.

Isn't cheap usually applied to easy?

That monster in the optional dungeon in Eternal Sonata. I'd have had an easier time if the bastards let me carry more meds, christ, I had tons! I did beat it first go, but at the expense of all my meds and all but one person standing. I would HATE to think what fighting what thing would be like in the harder difficulty.

The new prince of persia, every single boss is cheap and if you fail quicktime events you dont die but the boss endlessly regains health -_-
Seconded. That was about as close as I've ever come to actually snapping my controller in half.
