Somewhat trying to keep this thread up in the top. The RP is slowing down and new members is just what we need at the moment. I love this RP too, it's been executed beautifully and few RPs do that. In fact I've quite a few RPs start out with a restricted beginning. This is boring but The City tends to avoid that and makes everything welcome for newcomers.

Yeah sorry, I just got confirmation for my move, and so I am moving house on Monday and may be without internet untill the 10th of August. Would not be a good idea for me to join a real RP at this time. Sorry once again.
Hey Korten, sorry I've not posted much this past week, as upon returning from my holiday I found that my monitor was being a *****. Now, I've figured out the trick to making it work and I'll be able to post more. I'll probably do a large post tomorrow when I've recovered from yesterdays all nighter

Well, this certainly looks interesting. Give me some time to read through everything and think up a good character and hopefully I'll have a sheet up this weekend sometime.
I recall offering to help with the first version of this in the small way I could at the time - which was to proofread and peer-edit the summary et al while keeping the actual content the same. I see that never made it to the nice big image version up there.
I still like the premise of this thing, but it's the time of year for people to move, and I'm still not done moving into my own new house. I'll try to at least keep an eye on this. Maybe I'll have the time soon to go back and read the previous version. Good luck!

Back when I made Version 1, The City was a very vague idea and I wasn't even sure I was going to stick with it.
But after a random thought stroke, I decided to make an RP out of it since my other one's failed. Since then it has been expanding and expanding, now I am fleshing out the universe with lore, characters, and history.
Hopefully you move fully into your new house soon and join in!

Looks: Rumina has dark grey eyes from the exposure of the blistering sun of the South District which is an oddity even for the people of the South District. He has what seems to be permanent 5 O?clock shadow that he likes to keep fairly trimmed down. He has short to medium long blonde hair that is somewhat messy. He stands at around 6 feet tall and is fairly well built due to all the hard work he has to do to get by in the South District. As well as he has a scar on his right shoulder from a swordfight when he was younger.
This is pretty much how I envisioned Rumina to look, well minus the toque anyways
Personality: Rumina is a very kind and gentle soul. He is upbeat about most things and holds his head high and who puts others he cares about before himself. He is personable, quick witted but can also be rather impulsive when it comes to matters close to his heart.
Faction: Currently None, but he hopes to become a member of the Steel Hearts one day.
Bio: Rumina grew up in the harsh wasteland that was the South District, Rumina was born into a poor family even by South District standards, his parents had him help around the house when he was younger and when he was finally old enough they asked him to get a job to help them get enough money to be able to leave the South. Rumina got a job working as a guard for one of the factions that were located nearby. One day when Rumina was walking home he saw a strange man with Dark hair and oddly discolored robes standing outside his house talking to his parents and before he knew it the man raised his hand and his parents went flying backwards into the house. Rumina made a mad dash towards his home but was too late, the mage had set fire to his house with his parents trapped inside. Rumina drew his sword and lunged toward the mysterious man who easily dodged his weak attempt at an attack only to return with one of his own slicing through Rumina?s right shoulder. The man was about to finish him off when some Steel Hearts came by wondering what had caused the blaze and when the man saw him he ran off in the opposite direction. Rumina tried furiously to enter his house but was held back by the men who saved him and he had to watch as his home was burned down right in front of him with his parents trapped inside. He swore that day that he would find that man and take revenge on him for murdering his parents.
After that Rumina scavenged his house looking for anything that wasn?t charred ashes when he found a hidden compartment in the wall, he opened it to find a small stash of money as well as a set of armor and a silver sword with runes etched into it. Rumina took these and spent the next few years learning to fight and defend himself from mages or anyone else that would do harm to him or the ones he cared about.
