The Coolest Ending to a Video game. (Classic or Current) [SPOILERS]

Every game has those ending cut-scenes that end the story of the game and shows what happens when you complete the big giant boss-man. Now while most of them left of with a bad taste in the mouth (Ghostbusters for NES and so forth) there are the ones that are so epically amazing that they will be talked about for years to come. So fellow escapists what would be your favorite ending to a video game? They can be either from the days of the NES or now.

My two favorites that i can remember are as follows

Bionic Commando:


Why you may ask? you blow up the face of Hitler


My second choice is

Castle Crashers:


This one because it's so damn colorful and mindfucking.

I'll have to go with the ending of Darksiders, i loved that game and the ending was for me was brilliant. Properly epic.

The ending to Legend of Zelda:Links Awaking was great.

As much as i hated it and it made me emotional, it truly was a fitting and satisfying end to a great game.

My second is the ending Fire Emblem for the GBA.

I cried and applauded for all the characters.
it was a deep game.

The ending of Warcraft 3: TFT was awesome IMO. A sort but awesome final battle followed by a great final cutscene and then a awesome rock song during the credits.

Why that would be the ending to Fallout, when talking to the overseer. if you played at least semi-evil, or chose the bloody mess perk, you saw it different than playing a nice character.

So satisfying.

gears 2, me2, dow2, ra3, world in conflict, serious sam second encounter, crysis, me1 (I liked convincing saren to commite suicide) odensphere, grim grimare, super metroid, legend of zelda twilight princess, legend of zelda majoras mask, its probably best I stop there, I have many more tho

I'd say Mass Effect's whole end-game was pretty freaking awesome.
But the prize must goto Baldur's Gate 2: The Throne of Bhaal.
The closing of the saga with whom you've fought since level 1 in Candlekeep.
I always get goosebumps.

My friend and I recently finished Sunset Riders on the Mega Drive for the first time ever, and it was all very normal, but then after the credits, it did the "game over" screen as though we'd died.

Well Heart of Darkness was pretty cool....

Also Kuei-Jin ending of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines....

And most importantly Thief: Deadly Shadows for its predictable yet awesome trilogy ending....

my favorite ending to any video game is definitely mgs4 cus that was one of the moments where it just made your mouth hang open and during the fight scene i was just like ooooooWOOOOOOOOAH!!

Well apparently portal no longer exists or people here never got to the end.... Thats got to take best credits if not best ending too.

Tho I agree with the plants vs zombies one too, thats deffinatly a runner for the prize
