Oh God, do I remember that. It certainly wasn't worth the number of hours I put into that game. Those damn stairs could undo an hour and a half's worth of work in about 2 minutes if you weren't careful. Even the ZX Spectrum version was better than the NES one.

OT: I'm not totally sure. I actually quite liked the ending to Majora's Mask but it wasn't a masterpiece. I don't generally like the endings of games too much though.

Dues Ex Invisible War, all 4 potential endings were fantastic.
And no one seems to have said anything about the awesome parties at the end of both Zelda games for the 64'.
Also, The World Ends With You takes the cake for philosophical battle with the end-boss.

I entered this thread with the intention of saying Mass Effect's ending... but I have been beaten to it, so instead...

I'd say Mass Effect's whole end-game was pretty freaking awesome.
For you two, I found something to share.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Well, I could only find the Renegade ending, which is a shame. The Paragon ending is much better.

Mass Effect's ending. Gripping, unimaginably cinematic, and genuinely touching. I actually teared up near the end. And the MUSIC! The ending music is unbelievably good!

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. I won't spoil it, but it was pretty good and redefined the entire experience.

Im going to say the assault on Sovereign in Mass Effect, just because I haven't played the second one, and therefore it wins by default.

little toon link stabbing gannon in the head while he looks at it, and, I know it's clishe (sorry 4 bad spelling) but, Portal's still alive. If it gets so much praise its because it's great. I loved it

The only thing I didn't like about the clown of the Castle Crasher's ending is how censored it is (if you've heard of Tricky The Clown, you'll know what I'm on about).

I'd say probably the endings of Kane And Lynch: Dead Men. Just how no matter how hard Kane tries, he loses out in the end. It's such a twist it blew my mind, just because usually games end with you being a winner of some kind. In Kane And Lynch: Dead Men, the main character loses either way. It's sad as hell.

Bionic Commando.

You just can't beat Hitler's head exploding. How did that make it past the censors?

Ooooooooooooo, Castle Crashers WAS a good one.... o.o

Hmmmmm, not too many to choose from...and even those aren't any real good. Pokemon games, when you beat the Elite 4 usually gave some good closure...

The end of Mass Effect 2 was the greatest thing I've seen in years. I every step was filled with "You're going to die if I make you do this but I have no choice."
