After not being in school for some time (I think it was last summer), I found perfectly rotten apple in my bag.

Not to me but someone I know was emptying a locker and this stuff which can only be dercibed as liquedized rubbish poured out on to one of my freinds, needless to say he smelt bad for the rest of the day, you couldn't go near him without puking. Nothing much disgusting has happened to me though.

My parents were hoarders and my father very unhygenic so, a lot of what the posters described were common finds for me. The most upsetting find was probably when my sister and friend finally talked my parents into letting us throw some stuff out, we first started clearing the room I shared with various members of the family (I never had my own room). We found under my bed dust (mostly dead skin) amounting to several cups, rat feces amounting to a cup, rat fur, mold, cobwebs, spiders, dead ants, and dead cockroaches and their molds. It was an entire city full of vermin. Keep in mind, I'm a neat person, but all this stuff under my bed didn't belong to me, and my parents got fussy when I moved them because it wasn't theirs either. Also keep in mind that I'm allergic to all of the stuff I had listed and had been having health problems for most of my life.

The nastiest and most surprising though was years ago when I went to fetch the mail and saw that someone had tossed a still wet used tampon into my mailbox and soaked up my Time magazine.

well not mine and not a house but iun my friends car I have found some grose things (most my falt)

We were drive up to a week long camping trip, and on the way up we stop at Taco Bell. On the back home a week later I looking in one of the side pocket things next to the seat i was sitting in, and someone had stashed a Taco Bell bag with some food in it. There was brown liquid in the bottom of the bag.

I used to get rides to school with my friend. One morning I left a banana peel in the car and forgot about it. Alittle while later I found, the peel was black, the inside was blue.

A nice pile of upchuck my cat left me.
Not all that disgusting or original, but when you discover it via stepping on it because it was dark, it's pretty darned nasty. Just got out of bed too, so didn't even have socks to reduce the squelchy impact.
I think my feet still smell a little of "chicken in jelly" to this day.

Really? My cat used to have a lot of digestive problems, and her cat vomit just dried up and looked weird. We vacuumed it away, but I never thought it was gross, except for when it was wet.

Wow... That's sad, because it caused you health problems, but I don't think I could ever live with the knowledge of there being that many bugs under my bet. Kudos to you.

A few things:

In fifth grade I decided to do a project based on the properties of salt and how its saltiness can be used as a preservative etc.

Some of the things used (which I left out on the counter for observation every 8 hours, which my mom checked as I was at school) were: A cut of beef, an apple, a tooth of mine that had just fallen out, and a few other things.

It took days to get the smell out of the kitchen.

Next, I was at a band practice in the rhythm guitarists garage, and the bass player's instrument slid from whatever it was leaning against. It fell onto a bag with an old cardboard box in it. When the bass was removed, the box was jostled, underneath which was a literal pile of maggots.

We plan on calling our next album "Over By the Maggot Bag".

About 4 years ago in a previous home, I walk out onto the second floor outdoor balcony to just look outside for a while. Before I get to the chair, I look down and see a lizard laying on its side that has somehow lost all of the skin on its chest and stomach - one could literally see its ribcage and flesh. A couple minutes later, a large platoon of ants come and begin mobbing the lizard. I see it twitch, move its head, look up at me in fearful horror as if asking how I could be so cruel as to summon ants to devour him or her, then drop back down and stay motionless, only to be carried off of the balcony by a trail of ants.

A little disgusting, maybe, but definitely creepy.

Aww man. Now I can't look my mom in the eyes, just thinking about how awkward it is for you.

OT: I once pulled a giant wad of hair out of my dog's teeth. The damn thing won't stop chewing herself...

Well this was more me and my mom.

So we're in the basement putting food in the freezer, and theres a paper bag in inside. So she takes it out and opens it, and starts screaming. I look inside and there is a dead hamster inside. I ask my dad what it is, and turns out it was my old hamster that died 2 years ago. (found him in 2003, he died in 2001.) Turns out my dad was going to bury him, but got busy. And plus he went to Iraq, so you can imagine we would forget about it. Well we then buried my hamster shortly after we found him....again.
That story is.... traumatizing...

Not so much for me, but definitely for other people who visited. We had a preserved lizard in a jar next to our stove for years.

It always won me the "Show and Tell" at school.

This will eventually happen to all potatoes, but you can help the process along by leaving the potatoes in the same space as onions. And I just realized how disgusting the food we consume on a regular basis actually is...
